Who are we? Château Meyre has been cultivating vines for more than 3 centuries in the heart of the Médoc area. In 1876, the area was one of the first rows in Avensan and the wine was classified Cru Bourgeois in 1932. The historic property comprises 17 Ha, but we added 2 Ha in the commune of Soussans, Margaux appellation to our portfolio 25 years ago. Planting our first organic vines in 2008, we produced our first certified organic vintage in 2011, a prelude to our current estate: the organic conversion now extends to the entire property.

Who are we? A family-owned estate located on lovely hills north of Bordeaux, Château L’Espérance’s vineyards are laid on a soil made of deep clay and limestone. The unique flavour of our wines is the result of the careful selection of individual parcels of various typical Bordeaux grape varieties, and of practices that we want as respectful of the environment as possible. Each parcel is harvested and fermented separately, then transferred to 300L French oak barrels. We produce our wine with the hope that wine lovers will enjoy drinking it as much as we enjoy making it.
