PAPER EMOTION,

Exclusive Cut & Perfumed Paper Paper Emotion was born from the long-term collaboration of two leaders in their respective fields: PO group with its cutting-edge high-fidelity paper-perfuming techniques, and Point to Paper with its innovative, micro-laser cutting technology. Over the past few years, both companies have been working together as one, to fulfil the most demanding luxury brands’ requirements and deliver unique, perfumed paper items: scented blotters & cards, perfumed petals, scented objects, magazines inserts & advertisement… Last year, we decided to join forces and created Paper Emotion. Our goal: delivering our clients’ fragrances in exclusive, creative designs combining the wealth of a noble raw material with an incredibly precise olfactory restitution. In 2013, a Rockefeller University study found that individuals remember 35% of what they smell, 5% of what they see, 2% of what they hear, and 1% of what they touch. Paper Emotion thrives on this idea by creating products that offer both a visual and tactile appeal while exhaling the most important component of a Luxury brand’s identity: its signature fragrance.

We did not invent perfumed paper marketing, we only made it better.


INNOVATING FOR PRECISION Until 2013, it was virtually impossible to reproduce a fragrance to perfection for printed paper-based marketing items. We made it possible. Our patented technologies allow us to go far beyond the current state of the art to offer fast, elegant solutions associating high-end brands to their signature fragrance with the utmost accuracy.

Olfactory restitution

Conventional olfactory marketing relies on capsules, gels, or direct application of fragrances on magazine pages where they have to compete with the scents of paper, ink and glue. We guarantee purity. Our patented process and drastic ink selection enable us to apply the fragrance directly on a dedicated layer of absorbent paper (1) to avoid any potential interaction between ink (1A/1B), perfume and paper (2). As a result, the scent is pure and powerful.

Ultra-delicate micro-laser cutting

We engineered a new generation of laser-cutting machines, using high-precision micro-lasers. With a 5-time smaller diameter than regular laser beams, our micro-lasers produce a clean cut, finer quality finish than traditional cutting techniques, allowing the fragrance to be laid on the paper without the slightest process-related alteration.

Time-saving, cost-effective innovations

Our micro laser machine cut at a rate 4 times faster than traditional machines: we can process an average of 2600 sheets/hr, when traditional machines process 60-250 sheets/hr. In other words, we deliver products 5 times faster than the competition. Our machines also allow us to apply the fragrance only where it is meant to be. When other companies need to soak the entire sheet and discard the outtakes, we are able to target one spot and one spot only.


THE EVENT CARD

Inviting your Fragrance in your customer’s intimacy Advertising the opening of a new store or the launch of a new fragrance, inviting customers to an event or sending them greetings – a scented card is the best way to associate your fragrance to your visual identity. Personalized with an elegant design, embossed or made into a piece of paper lace, the card becomes such a unique, beautiful object of curiosity that it is hard to discard. Featured on a desk, on a side table or on a make-up table, it will release its fragrance for over 2 weeks. What better way to deliver a message than to directly enter a customer’s intimacy and subtly link their daily gestures and emotions to your fragrance?


THE PERFUMED BLOTTER

Making Samples elegant and durable Conventional samples have limitations. Gels are a one-time medium and can prove to be messy. Micro-encapsulation samples require rubbing, the fragrance’s restitution is ephemeral, and samples are often contaminated by inadequate printing processes in magazines. Perfumed blotters surely are the best alternative to any of these media. Flat, enclosed in a hermetic envelope, it offers both elegance and mystery to the magazine audience. Not instantly accessible, it forces them to actively participate and unveil the mystery by opening the envelope to smell its fragrance. Perceived more like a gift than a sample, it constitutes what we call an olfactory experience. Easily personalized and durable, our blotters are also a cost-effective, clean and elegant alternative to capsules and gels. Ideal for an audience already wearing a fragrance, it triggers an immediate sensory reaction without requiring them to try directly the fragrance on.

Pre-production

Contact us with your idea and/or your design project and consider us a part of your team. Technical support, purchases, printing, embellishing, cutting, packaging‌ We handle everything. Keep in touch with us, check on your project at every step of its development, no matter how often you change directions, and rely on our proven reactivity to receive samples as fast as possible.

Once you approve our pre-production fragrance-impregnated model series, we launch production & logistics. We keep you continuously informed, from the finalization of the series to shipping and reception by your media planner. We anticipate your needs knowing that a satisfied client is the best referral!

Delays for perfumed laser cut prototypes

Once your files are finalized, our production processes allow us to make your approval samples available to you as fast as two weeks after reception of your fragrance concentrate. This is twice as fast as what the competition currently offers.
