Letter From The Editor Grace and Peace be unto you UNITED, “The course of everything goes to teach us faith. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson A Blessed and Happy New Year to you UNITED! As we enter into 2016, many would like to forget the pain, disappointments, and challenges of 2015, but with a heart of thanksgiving, instead my brothers and sisters, let us look to God to reveal the victories in the defeat, the wholeness in the heartbreak, and the light shining through the darkness. All we have experienced as a people, has only served to anchor us in what God is doing in this hour. To bring forth a people of one Mind, one Body, and one Spirit, unified in love, and impenetrable in power. UNITED, we have already successfully launched United Comes to You 2016 in our Texas Diocesan! Read more about it as you mark your calendar to see us in a town near you. Be encouraged UNITED, and above all, continue to stand. Be blessed as you enjoy the highlights of what is going on around the world of UNITED! In His Service, Annette Parkins Editor www.unitedcovenantchurches.org

SAVE-THE-DATE What a powerful United Comes to You thus far! Thank you Texas for laying the foundation for 2016! See you in Florida February 5-6, 2016! Mark your calendars for these not to be missed encounters as we come together to lift HIM up. Start your preparations to gather together in May in New York to Celebrate United! Stay connected with us on social media for the latest information.

United Comes To You Kicks Off in Texas! United Comes To You got its kickoff for the year in the Lone Star state of Texas. Led by Diocesan Bishop, C. Sterling Davis, the two day event was an intimate and impactful event. "The wisdom, humility, transparency, and candor left us speechless.." Bishop Davis reported. Speaking primarily to Pastors and ministry leaders, Presiding Bishop Eric Garnes challenged the group on The Roles and Responsibilities of Pastors and Ethics. Assistant Presiding Bishop G. E. Livingston talked about How to Define Successful ministry. The Chairman of the Board of Pastors, Overseer Terry Hill was also on hand to discuss Implementing Vision. Be sure to be in place when United Comes To You!

Congratulations Overseer Angela A. Walker!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bishop Gibson!

On January 27th Bishop George E. Gibson II will celebrate his 60th Birthday. We submit this announcement in his honor, from his wife, Prophetess Tricia Gibson and the Christian Love Worship Cathedral.

“Save Our Sons” is the Outreach mission of Let’s Go Higher, LLC and Men4Change established and instituted by Bishop George Gibson II for manhood development training and academic excellence. On Monday, August 31st at 7:00AM the overwhelming response came to Bishop Gibson’s call for men to support our sons at the genesis of their academic school year. On that morning more than 160 men and the community-at-large, came dressed professionally to reassure the Prestige Academy scholars. Our presence on Opening Day provided the students with confidence and demonstrated the solidarity, strength and scholarship of the black men who stood beside them. Our unified presence affirmed the statement that, on our watch, “no child will be left behind” nor afforded a fair chance in learning and living. The united sound that resonated the crowd was overwhelmingly empowering. “Our polished presence showed the boys that they are respected and expected to do well in the academic school year”. In his statement, Bishop Gibson’s told students “we are committed to your success, supportive in your struggles and most importantly; we are “present in your pursuit of Learning”. Television media as well as News media covered the event. Many community leaders attended while others have pledged to actively support this essential Mission.

Congratulations to Overseer Kim K. Newsome and Power of GOD Cathedral!
