Letter From The Editor Grace and Peace be unto you UNITED,

It is February, the unofficial month of love. As we worship the God of love, we are the mirror the world looks into to see Jesus. This month, move beyond a day on the calendar, and celebrate those you love and the God of love. Any day we stop to do that, is never wasted. Remember to also take time out to honor our forefathers as we also celebrate Black History Month. Whether you visit local landmarks, attend film screenings, or share your stories, you can find plenty to do in your local city with a simple online search. Paul Tsongas is quoted as saying We are a continuum. Just as we reach back to our ancestors for our fundamental values, so we, as guardians of that legacy, must reach ahead to our children and their children. And we do so with a sense of sacredness in that reaching. And as we reach forward and carry forth the legacy, July 15-17, an Encounter awaits us in Atlanta, GA. For the last 25 years we have gathered together for our National Holy Convocation celebration, and we have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. This year, you do not want to miss what God is doing in and through the body of UNITED. Let us unite for three days of powerful worship, salient teaching, deep transformation, hearty fellowship and lifetime connections! Stay connected with us on social media for the latest information! Get ready and get registered! Come expecting a #UNITEDencounter! As God is moving in this critical season, He ministers to us through Pastor J.F. Chatman about the powerful impact of our words in Watch Your Mouth. Be encouraged UNITED, and above all, continue to stand. It is God’s love that causes us to stand. Happy Valentine’s Day, and be blessed as you enjoy the highlights of what is going on around the world of UNITED! In His Service, Annette Parkins Editor www.unitedcovenantchurches.org

WATCH YOUR MOUTH Proverbs 18:19-21

If we were to be honest, we have all had times that simply seem unbearable. Remember the time your job handed you the pink slip for issues they couldn’t disclose? When someone in your family became severely ill with a life threatening disease, and the doctor instructs you to prepare the family? Or the day you decided to accept the calling that God had on your life, but at that very moment everything seems to be falling apart? If we were to be honest, many of us are looking for a sense of security that guarantees the plan of God’s will to manifest in our lives. It’s easy to walk in our purpose when everything around us seems to be in favor of success, but how do you react when obstacles cause interruption? As long as things are well with us we can preach, teach, serve, sing, dance, and we have very nice things to say to our enemies. But when life doesn’t feel like a bed of roses, do you still find yourself doing all the things I just mentioned above? My question to all Bishops, Pastors, Evangelist, Servant Leaders, and secular leaders. Can you still lead while you’re the individual that’s bleeding? Frustration is often the fruit that we produce when facing adversity while still trying to operate in our gifts. Have you ever heard the phrase that hurt people, hurt people? Solomon in these verses implore that we must “watch our mouth”! So many instances in life, we allow our negative situations to speak over our lives. Solomon mentions that life and death is in the power of the tongue. God created the heavens and the earth with the power of His tongue. Adam named every animal in the garden with the power of his tongue. Jesus calmed the storm, cast out devils, sent healing into a soldier’s home, and even open the blind man’s eyes using the saliva of his tongue. And Moses missed out on his promise for simply not using his tongue to speak to the rock. We as spokespersons of the gospel of Jesus Christ must understand that our life depends on how we use our tongue. We spend so much of our time talking about our struggles, adversities, and short comings rather than just simply speaking to them. I encourage everyone who reads this to start putting your mouth where your faith is, and stop lending your tongue to the devil. Speak life over your families, careers, churches, business, friends, and your enemies, even when adversity is staring you in the eyes. Pastor J. F. Chatman II The Birthing Place www.thebirthingplacechurch.org

Apostolic Messengers Proclaiming (A.M.P.) 2015 Highlights If you missed this year’s A.M.P. you missed a HIGH TIME in the Lord! We were well-fed for the entire month of January out of the very mouth and heart of God! AMP began on Sunday, January 4th with Bishop Bruce Parham, “Let’s Live from the Inside Out” taken from Mark 4:3-9, 13-20. It’s important that we hear voices (ear at the mouthpiece of God) and not echoes (on YouTube). We need clear instruction and we need to hear it from God because it’s about what’s coming to you this season more than what is coming out of you. The torch was next passed to Apostle Vance Dash who spoke on “Rest, Relief & Release” from Hebrews 4:1-3. He spoke prophetically into the hearts of the people letting us know that 2015 starts our Ordinal Year (ordain, validate, approve) and Cardinal Year (foremost, chief among all, the greatest). This means that not only is God sanctioning us in this next 7 years, he is making us chief among all, ordaining us, validating us and putting his stamp of approval on us! Get ready, God is catapulting us in this season and he is quieting the contrary winds! Ready yourself because God is getting ready to make you foremost. You will ride above the highest and sit in the lofty places of the earth. He has put a restraint on the enemy and nothing can bind you in this season! The temperature continued to rise in the House as Apostle Sharon Robinson shared a word from Joshua 14:6-14, “Now Give Me My Mountain!”. She encouraged the people of God that our great testing has produced this great time of triumph. We now have to come to get equipped and go out to conquer. We have entered into the season of accomplishment and God is urging us into our rightful place. Just as Caleb endured the worst, he was just as strong and as capable at 85 years old as he was at 45 years old. He didn’t have to fight as he did when he was a young man, because he had acquired expertise and wisdom to now engage in warfare in his eighties. Now give me my mountain!

Bishop Steven Walker literally shut AMP down with the final word on Sunday, February 1st with “The Cycle Has Already Shifted, You Better Hurray Up & Get With It!” taken from Ruth 1:19-2 and 2:1-4. He shared a corporate prophetic word that we have already entered into a 7 year cycle of prosperity (exceptional favor) and we have 7 years to pull as much fruit out of the ground before the cycle of adversity comes back around at the end of these 7 years. God is going to give us opportunities to glean from the ground as Boaz did Ruth and we need to take this opportunity to pull out what we want - work your field! While you are gleaning there are a few promises to look forward to 1) Look for Protection - You don’t have to worry about your enemies because his hands have been tied and they can’t touch you for the next 7 years. 2) Look for Justice - God has done a FULL evaluation of your work for the past 7 years and because of your faithfulness, even serving people who didn’t deserve your service, God is giving you a JUST reward. 3) Look for a Seat at the Table - God is sitting you at the table with reapers because you are qualified and to teach you how to reap. 4) Look for Exceptional Favor - God is going to give you what it will take others 5 years to have. He is going to reach across your future for corn and bring it into your present. God has some things out of season for you!

We HONORED and CELEBRATED the birthday of our Man of God, The Chief Shepherd of CLWC and our Spiritual Father in the Faith, BISHOP GEORGE E. GIBSON II ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2015 “I will give you Shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15

Love Nation Ministry Elevations & Promotions Elder A. Terry Rayfield has faithfully served in the capacity of the Executive Administrator to Bishop George E. Gibson II for the past 4 years. She has done an extraordinary job and her ability to grasp the heart of her Man of God is to be highly commended. The time has now come for her to fully embrace the role as The Dean of the School of Ministry and align with her greater gift that has been identified in the 5 Fold ministry, as “Teacher” while she focuses her attention on building the School of Ministry, the educational arm of the Church and the Kingdom! In her new role, Elder Terri will be responsible for managing all Christian Education needs within the ministry. She will continue to keep the Bishop’s personal calendar and schedule. Please congratulate Elder Terri on her evolution and elevation as she leads God’s people into green pastures of Christian Education and the edification of the Body of Christ! Elder Daphne M. McRae has served in various aspects of ministerial leadership and demonstrated faithful servant-hood; the ability to build relationships, secure resources, and to galvanize the gathering, that we may perform in God’s excellence. God has created her to be multi-faceted; she excels in the area of Administration and Information Technology. Her commitment and consistency within the ministry has led to her promotion to the Office of First Assistant. As First Assistant to the Bishop, Elder Daphne will serve in a “Chief Operating Officer” capacity; overseeing the day to day operation of the ministry. She will lead the Elders Council and be first point of contact to the Bishop. She will procure the Apostolic and Levitical order in which we flow. This will include and not be limited to, setting protocol, building systems of accountability and laying the foundation to move the ministry to the next dimension. Elder Daphne will also continue in her capacity as Director of New Member Orientation. Please congratulate Elder Daphne in her new assignment and promotion as First Assistant. Evangelism is the heart beat of our Father, it is the “will and testament” of the Savior; it is the major ministry thrusts of 2015. It is imperative to have the right team, the right energy and the right focus at the beginning of the year. Evangelist Jacqueline Charmane will Oversee the Evangelism Team. She brings domestic and international evangelism experience and has made a strong impact within the ministry. She will be responsible for leading the evangelistic effort and laying the frame-work which will reach the lost and draw souls into the Kingdom. Please congratulate Evangelist Charmane as she has been promoted and charged to lead the Anointed Army of God called the “Love Nation” as we are commissioned to carry out the Mandate of the Master.

Increase Me is not just another self help book written by someone twenty years removed from struggle. This book takes a realistic and transparent look at life and how we live it. Increase me is just as much strategic as it is motivational. Each chapter builds on itself in an effort to build your arsenal and equip you for any challenges that may lay ahead. Most people in life have a pretty good idea of where they would like to see themselves. They are aptly able to tell you what type of home the desire, what brand of car they would like to drive, how they would like their marriage to play out, or even what they want their careers to look like at its end. A small percentage of people actually have a plan and tools as to how they plan on arriving at all of these amazing places.

Increase Me will equip you with an easy to remember, easy to implement plan of action as well as provide you with a treasure chest of tools and wisdom to use along the way. Life is a journey and the Word of God is your roadmap. Increase Me will help you to avoid traffic along the way! Enjoy the ride! https://squareup.com/market/adrian-wynn-ministries

Why do we celebrate Valentine’s Day? Did you know that Valentine’s Day began with a prison ministry? In the year A.D. 320, the early church set aside February 14 to remember the heroic death of a man named Valentine, who was beheaded on a pagan altar because he refused to renounce Jesus Christ. According to historic tradition, Valentine was born into a wealthy Roman family, and converted to Christianity as a young man, sometime around the year A.D. 240. It was an era when the church was being severely persecuted by the degenerate Roman emperor, Claudius II. Thousands of Christians were imprisoned in the dark, tomb-like jails of Rome. Wealthy Romans of the time considered it “entertainment” to visit the prisons and watch as Christians were tortured and put to death. Valentine took advantage of his family connections to visit the prisons too—but he made it his mission to smuggle in small gifts of food to those facing martyrdom, always accompanied by a short note expressing love and encouragement. Valentine, devout and strong-hearted, was eventually arrested and was martyred in Rome about A.D. 270. Though the roots of the tradition are largely forgotten, his ministry of love and caring is still commemorated today more than 1,700 years later! On Valentine’s Day, share this important history with your children and grandchildren—and enjoy a little “ministering” together by delivering Valentine’s Day treats to a local nursing home or children’s hospital. It is important to teach our children the Christian roots of many worldly traditions—and they are never too young to enjoy the blessing of showing love and generosity.

"Turn Up" with prayer...GENERATION "Covered"! The purpose of the youth prayer call is to keep our children covered by the word and build a strong prayer life for our children. NVKLC and Uc3 provides a vehicle that will get your child's day started and encouraged to go throughout the week.

Power is given only to those who dare to lower themselves and pick it up. Only one thing matters, one thing; to be able to dare! You may not always have a comfortable life and you will not always be able to solve all of the world's problems at once but don't ever underestimate the importance you can have because history has shown us that courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of its own. ~Michelle Obama
