Our Deepest Condolences UCLG ASPAC expresses deepest condolences for the passing of Surin Pitsuwan, ASEAN Pillar from Thailand, at the age of 68, on November 30, 2017. As a local government association in Asia-Pacific region, we witness his commitment and record his contribution to his homecountry, Thailand that has truly inspired us and also our members, local governments, particularly in Thailand. We also reflect on his outstanding role in the advancement ASEAN in the international stage. What he did has been constant reminder for us to always uphold our commitment bring the voice of local governments throughout Asia-Pacific the global level and to strive for the development of local lives.
