UCLG ASPAC Secretariat is glad to engage another young talent to strengthen the team through internship programme. Find out more! MY name is Ginani Hening Utami. I'm an Architecture Graduate from Bandung Institute of Technology, currently an intern, assisting UCLG ASPAC programs mainly related to Public Space Development and Disaster Risk Reduction. As the Public Space Development assistant, I help out initiating the Global Public Space Project of the UN Habitat in Jakarta, coordinating with the government bodies and several partner organizations. I have supported the preparation of international conferences this year, including ASEAN Mayors Forum (AMF) and the UCLG ASPAC Congress. I also assisted the cooperation between the Ministry of Home Affairs and Seoul Metropolitan Government in conducting a capacity building training in fire management sector and the Disaster Risk Reduction peer-learning session at the UCLG ASPAC Congress. I have interest in international development and social issues, I love attending international forums and participate in community development project. Interning in UCLG ASPAC allows me to interact with various government stakeholders and international organizations, understand further about the role of local government in the international community, and how to advocate the global agendas. Through this internship program, I was given the opportunity to contribute my skills in various activities and develop my skills further.
