UCLG ASPAC Secretariat Team warmly welcomes two new personnel who will strengthen the secretariat in delivering its best services to members. Take a look at what they see, expect, and dream of below. ISABELLA MC HUTASOIT, or usually called Ella, is the Member Services Coordinator of UCLG ASPAC. Having knowledge on Political Studies from Universitas Parahyangan, West Java, Ella possesses a wide range of experience in liaising with local governments as well as serving the community in various fields. Her seven-year contribution in the Australia Indonesia Partnership for Emerging Infectious Diseases has prepared her well for creating good collaboration and relationships with other local governments. Besides, Spanish Red Cross, Microfinance Innovation Center for Resources and Alternatives (Indonesian foundation focused on development of the microfinance sector), also make up her professional background in serving the community. When asked about her expectation when joining UCLG ASPAC, she said she would like to gain more knowledge on local governments relations and issues mainly in Asia-Pacific region and to extend professional network as well. She also hopes that she can learn and contribute to the works of UCLG ASPAC. At the end of interview session, Ella invites all members to come to the first session of Executive Bureau Meeting 2018 in Islambad (Pakistan) in April 2018. FATIMAH NIRWANA HASRULLAH, preferred to be called Wana, is the Project Administrator of IUC Asia SupportDesk. Holding Bachelor Degree of English Literature from the State University of Jakarta and Master Degree of Northern University of Malaysia in Strategic Studies, Wana is very much ready to take charge of the day-to-day administration and secretarial duties. Included are also facilitating communication and dialogue between regional implementation team and representatives of municipalities, cities, regions, and organisations in Asia and Europe. Before joining UCLG ASPAC, Wana contributed her skills in private sector as well as

in the Australian Federal Police and the Political and Public Diplomacy – Advocacy and Outreach section, Australian Embassy in Jakarta. She also has internship experience in the Secretariat General Directorate Affair of ASEAN in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. Wana hopes that by joining UCLG ASPAC, she will be able to gain more knowledge on international affairs, particularly in development issues and advance her professional experience dealing with ASEAN, Asia, and EU projects and events. In the future, Wana aspires to be a professional representative of the country in the international organisations in development major, specifically urban issues.
