Regional Council of Fès-Meknès (Regional) •EEC organized two training for elected members of the regional council •Regional Territorial planning (SRAT) •Regional Development Plan (PDR) for Fes-Meknes Region The objectives of the training: •Knowing the objectives of the SRAT & PDR •Preparing local actors to participate in the development of the SRAT & PDR •Understand the stakes of the project and its contribution to the regional territory •Improve the capacities of elected officials to enrich debates on the SRAT & PDR projects •Be a dynamic player in the discussion, critics and validation of these projects •After the training, we noticed a significantt improvement in the debate that took place in Fès regarding the PDR & SRAT

Practical case study: Communal Development Plan (PCD) • In 2011 AUI assisted 10 communes of the province of Ifrane to produce their Communal development Plan (8 rural communes and 2 urban). • Steps: – 1. Training session on research methods • Compile different reports at local level/different administrations • Research theory and scientific method for research
