Staying
• Book ahead if you plan on travelling during reading weeks • Fastest and the most efficient, sometimes even the cheapest • Tickets are cheapest when bought on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and the New Year • You can by tickets at skyscanner.com
By bus
• Very time-consuming eg. it takes 12 hours to go from London to Amsterdam by bus while a plane ride only takes 1 hour • Bus tickets may be more expensive than plane tickets • It is quite the experience if one is adventurous
By train
• Rail passes for European trains allow you travel within one country or across Europe • Prices range from HKD 1900 to 5500 • Flexible tickets gives you more value for money; e.g. with a 5-day rail pass, you can use it on any 5 days, even if they are not consecutive
