CURRICULUM The MS in Business Analytics and Project Management (MSBAPM) program requires 37 credit hours, including five 3-credit courses in Business Analytics, 1 credit in technical communications, four 3-credit courses in Project Management, and 9 credit hours in elective courses. Students can choose electives from various knowledge areas, including the School’s MBA program, or they can choose to focus in one of our Industry-Drive Concentration areas. Some elective courses include Python, Deep Learning and AI, and Agile. Elective courses can also be chosen from the School’s MBA program or any approved UConn graduate-level courses and may include experiential learning credits.

MARKETING ANALYTICS: Marketing is more than creativity — gain insights on how businesses build awareness, engage consumers, and stand out among fierce competition in a digital world. ACTUARIAL SCIENCE: Risk is everywhere — know how to model the risk across populations and time horizons to bring financial stability to the unknown. TALENT ANALYSIS: An organization is only as strong as its people — develop expertise in combining data analytics with purposeful storytelling to harness the power of workforce intelligence. HEALTHCARE ANALYSIS: Healthcare data has the power to change the patient experience — from improved patient outcomes to better efficiencies in health care operations, build the skills to make an impact.


LIFE TRANSFORMATIVE EDUCATION Career MSBAPM is one of the very few programs nationwide with embedded career coaches in Hartford and Stamford, who exclusively support MSBAPM students year-round. MSBAPM continuously works with world-class corporations to provide students opportunities where they can apply their advanced business analytics and project management skills to challenging real world business problems.

BAPM Partnerships The MSBAPM program partners with Centers of Excellence at the University of Connecticut to offer students engagement through a variety of experiential learning opportunities including data challenges, hackathons, and capstone projects, as well as, internship, research, and consulting opportunities. Centers that we partner with often, include Center for the Advancement of Business Analytics (CABA), Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CCEI), and Technology Incubation Program (TIP).


LOCATIONS The MSBAPM program is offered in Hartford or Stamford, Connecticut. Hartford campus classes are held at UConn’s Graduate Business Learning Center (GBLC), located in the heart of downtown. The GBLC offers the latest in design, technology and comfort including fully networked classrooms, break-out rooms, technology labs and meeting spaces. With Hartford’s close proximity to Massachusetts, Rhode Island and UConn’s main campus students are exposed to experiential learning and job opportunities within booming insurance, tech start-up & healthcare industries. Stamford campus classes are held at the UConn Stamford campus located in lower Fairfield county, just an hour outside of New York City. The modern glass-enclosed campus features a high-tech approach to learning from desktop computer stations in the main computer lab to integrated online computer accessibility in the classrooms, laboratories and public spaces. The Stamford campus’ location provides students with access to many experiential learning and job opportunities within thriving financial services, high-tech manufacturing, product development industries.

Full- or Part-time (Non-U.S. must pursue Full-time)

• Completion of a one-semester college-level calculus or statistics course with a grade of “C” or better

Length • 13 courses / 37 credits • A full-time student can complete this in 3 semesters

STEM Designation MSBAPM is a STEM-designated program, which allows international students to qualify for a 24-month OPT (Optional Practical Training) Extension for a full 36 months of OPT.
