Film screenings_UEA philosophers at the cinema UEA regularly teams up with Cinema City to host public screenings related to our research. UEA philosophers introduce movies with philosophical themes. Each film is followed by a Q&A session and then drinks in the bar, where discussion can continue further. The theme for the summer programme is 'Mortality'. Lectures_local history UEA prides itself on its seasonal programmes of free public lectures. Take a trip onto campus, listen to academics and researchers talking about their areas of specialism and join the debate. All local history lectures are hosted by the Centre of East Anglian Studies (CEAS) to encourage the study of the archaeology and history of Norfolk, Suffolk and the adjacent areas, from prehistoric times to the present.
