Looking back and forward for inspiration, it explores what is taught, how, when and why. Finally, it imagines what possible learning lives future generations might hope to lead All events take place at the Thomas Paine Study Centre lecture theatre, UEA, from 6.15–8pm (doors at 6pm) Free, booking essential / Suitable for ages 16+ Visit bit.ly/UEAPhiEvents2022 Email PhilosophyEvents@uea.ac.uk Twitter @philosophyUEA Instagram @UEAphilosophy

Sun 13 Mar – Sun 17 Jul Pablo Picasso: The Legacy of Youth Pablo Picasso: The Legacy of Youth is a focused exhibition which explores the early artistic formation of Picasso, from his early teenage years to his thirties (1896–1914). The exhibition traces the artist’s progress, from his childhood in Malaga to his rise as acknowledged leader of the international avantgarde in Paris. It compares his achievement with the artists he admired and made use of, including Monet, Degas, ToulouseLautrec, Bonnard, Gauguin and Redon. A contextual approach to Picasso’s artistic outpouring reveals his voracious appetite for the contemporary styles that surrounded him and ultimately formed his artistic identity Tickets £13 / £12 concession half price for under 18s, full-time students and Art Fund Members Free for Members and UEA and NUA Student Members
