With five galleries on and off campus, students have professional development opportunities to learn how cultural spaces create connections, dialogue, and change. Students can gain experiences in all aspects of running and exhibiting in gallery spaces, from curation and installation of artwork, to critical writing and catalog preparation.

EXPAND QUESTION MAKE CHANGE As artists, designers, and scholars, we are driven by the knowledge that visual and scholarly research enhances the lives of people in our communities. We welcome thinkers and makers into our culture of critical inquiry to question systems, broaden perspectives, and contribute to creative solutions. Our faculty seeks to empower each individual student with knowledge, skills, and insight to respond thoughtfully to our changing world. Building on a record of traditional arts excellence and a commitment to utilize our skills to better our world, the UF School of Art + Art History offers a comprehensive and distinctive arts curriculum for students looking to become leaders, experts, or change-makers.

A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE The School of Art + Art History hosts robust Visiting Artists and Scholars programs, delivers a global art history curriculum, and offers extensive and changing domestic and international travel, as well as and study abroad opportunities. Students have the opportunity to research in the field alongside our preeminent faculty. Recent trips have included:

With hundreds of active student organizations to choose from, students have many opportunities to extend their skills and build networks beyond the classroom. Student organizations host workshops and social events, curate their own guest speaker programs, and fund student-designed trips.
