“I thank my God every time I remember you, always praying with joy for all of you.” – Philippians 1:3-4 Gratitude is one of our core values here at UGM, and as I reflect on 2018, it is certainly foremost in my mind. Gratitude to God for His abundant provision and gratitude to you for partnering with Him and with us on this journey of life transformation. I think of the moms who have been reunited with their children. I think of the men and women who have found meaningful work. I think of the community that has surrounded and encouraged our residents in ongoing recovery, and truly, joy fills my soul. We had some concern about the changes in the tax laws and what that might do to our income, whether we might have to cut back on services, but we did not have to cut back. We are actually looking at some exciting expansion in the next year, and that would not be possible without you. You have demonstrated that you share God’s heart for the poor. He is honored. We are honored. Thank you! – PHIL ALTMEYER, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

The food is pretty good.” – JOHN “I get to sit and be still and talk to (my kids) about their day, and do all that stuff you’re supposed to do like normal humans. It brought us together to be able to do the dinner thing, and that’s something we’ll take out of here.” – SHANTE

“The last word in the Greek text of the book of Acts is a little but powerful adverb that articulates how the Gospel was advancing: unhinderedly! And throughout 2018 the Gospel continued to advance unhinderedly through the ministries of UGM. The evidences of this are clear: restored lives, renewed minds and revived hearts. As our board looks ahead, we are ‘watching and praying’ -exploring new strategies and methods and paradigms to advance the Gospel unhinderedly.” – MIKE DREW, ASSOCIATION BOARD PRESIDENT See page 32 for list of 2018 Board of Directors.
