Campus Recreation and Wellness Center A $53,108,617 project when it opened in January 2003. The 264,000 square foot facility features a 53 foot climbing wall, 13,808 square foot social area, 5 basketball courts, a multi-activity court, 5 group exercise rooms, field space behind the facility, in addition to field space across campus; as well as a competition pool with a 10 meter dive tower and outdoor leisure pool. The Department also shares the facility with the UH Wellness Department. The Department of Campus Recreation is housed within the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services, under Dr. Richard Walker, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Services.

University approved out-of-state tuition waiver and stipend of approximately $1500 per month pending acceptance into a University of Houston graduate program. Stipend is for ten months effective August through May, summer hourly employment may be available. Health insurance is available.
