General information LOST AND FOUND

GUIDELINES • Entry to the activity zone must be made through the Rotunda and ID check station. • Side and rear exits are alarmed and to be used only in emergency situations. • Students must present a valid Cougar card to enter facility. • Only water in a resealable, shatter proof container is allowed in the activity zone. • Members are encouraged not to bring valuables with them to the CRWC. Personal belongings are to be stored in lockers.

• Any items found will be turned into the Welcome Desk. • Any items left in the Day Lockers at closing will be logged in as lost items. • Clothes, towels, or any other personal items will be discarded after one month. • Valuables will be kept one day and then taken to the University Police Department. • All IDs will be turned into the Cougar One office the next business day by 10:30am. • In order to claim a lost item, individuals must describe the item in detail.

• Shoes must be worn to enter the activity zone. Only athletic, non-marking rubber-soled shoes are allowed on all surfaces. Shoes must have enclosed heel and covered toes in Fitness Zone. • The use of protective eye wear is strongly

encouraged in the

racquetball and squash courts. • Proper athletic clothing must be worn in all activity areas. • The use of collars is required with use of all Olympic bars.

GUEST PASSES All guests must have a state issued photo ID in order to use the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. CRWC members may sponsor a guest for the day ($7.00 per day). All guests must have their sponsoring member with them at all times.

• Weekly and Monthly passes are available as well at $25 per week and $75 per month.

• Patrons are expected to follow the directions of CRWC staff at all times.

• A community non-member guest pass costs $8.00 per day, $25 per week and can be purchased between May 1st and 1st day of classes.

THE FOLLOWING ARE NOT ALLOWED • Gum, food or any other non-water beverages inside the activity zone. • Backpacks or personal items on the courts, floors, or seating areas. • Black racquetball balls, baseballs, footballs, and/or softballs. Balls of any kind on the second floor. • Bouncing or kicking balls on terrazzo floor. • Stretching on indoor track. • Watching first floor activity from indoor track. • Videotaping and photography without prior approval. RESERVATIONS •

To reserve a court (i.e. squash, tennis, etc.) call the Welcome Desk (713) 743-7529 (PLAY) between 6:00AM and 10:00AM or come in person anytime during operating hours. • Members may reserve a one-hour block. Members have up to 10 minutes after the hour to check in. If they do not check in on time, their reservation will be canceled. • Based on availability, volleyball courts can be set-up upon request. Reservations should be made as indicated above.

SERVICES Locker Rooms are available in a half size Z-style and may be rented for the fiscal year or by the semester. Any open lockers are made available for rental beginning the Thursday prior to the first class day of each semester. The Welcome Desk – Member Services accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for payment. CRWC lockers that have not been renewed by the requested date will be cleared and rented to a new user. A CRWC Membership is required in order to rent a lockers. • Locker Rates: Fiscal year (September - August) One semester

Free day lockers for CRWC users are available on a first come, first serve basis. Day Lockers are located close to the Leisure Pool/Outdoor Adventure office, by the basketball and racquetball courts, and in the Fitness Zone.

TOWEL SERVICES The Bath Towel Service provides you with one clean bath towel in exchange for dirty towel. Bath towel service can be purchased at the Welcome Desk – Member Services. • Towel Service: Fiscal Year (September - August) One Semester

Fitness Group Fitness is designed to provide participants with a variety of fitness choices from aerobics and dancing classes to bootcamp and yoga. More than 60 classes per week are offered by certified instructors. We also offer Personal training, which provides the opportunity to train one-on-one with a certified personal trainer (for a fee) in the pursuit of individual fitness goals. Group Fitness is included in your membership at no additional cost. To participate in Group Fitness Classes, stop by the Fitness Zone Help Desk on the second floor.

Outdoor Adventure The Outdoor Adventure trip program offers over twenty outdoor trips per year ranging from day trips to week long adventures. Our highly trained and experienced trip leaders will guide you through places like The Great Sand Dunes of Colorado, the wild Chisos Mountains of Big Bend, or even The Grand Canyon! If you are looking for an adventure closer to home, the Farmers Market Bike Tour is the perfect way to see a different side of Houston.
