THE PLATFORM
The Spread is a platform from the Behance team. It is a parallel platform to the Behance Network, which is about getting creatives’ work published and shared with others. The problem is that in there is no line between the students, graduates and the professionals. In a way you feel lost when you go on the Behance network as a student. The platform called “The Spread” is about the contact and exchange between students, graduates, universities and the professional world. The other difference to the Behance Network is that it is not about the portfolio, which will be linked to the Network, rather it is about getting some of your work, your thoughts, your ideas, events published and shown through online and print publication. While the professional world can create “spreads” aswell and advertise their work, their studio, their thoughts to the young and fresh world of students and graduates. The user of the platform can customise his own publication by using the very specified categorised selection system. The criterias to find an article can be location, university, studio, creative field, year of study, topic, tags, rating, rating by the panel, or even manually. After you customised your own publication you can let it print or purchase a digital version. The main aims are to bring the student and the professional world more together and let them exachange though publishing and creating articles.

Folio
Editorial term: Folios are an important part of the page or spread as they exist to serve the reader. Without the page number, readers can’t easily find stories from the table of contents. And the extra information makes it easy for the reader to establish what issue they’re reading, especially if the page gets torn out. Some magazines, however, do treat the folio in a way that makes it integral to the page’s design. > Info part on a Spread. Word with “Folio”: Portfolio
