Recreation programs include a variety of classes geared to those who want to learn a new activity or who want develop their existing skills for lifetime activities and sports. Classes are designed to accommodate various levels of participants from the beginner to the advanced.

NEW! UMCycle Bike Mechanic Boot Camp

Join us for our mechanic boot camp sessions. UMCycle will provide all the tools, bikes and info needed. You are welcome to bring your own bike if you are interested. Over the two sessions, you will learn how to 1) true a wheel, 2) fix a flat, 3) overhaul/repack a wheel hub, 4) adjust a bike seat/stem, 5) adjust rim brakes, 6) adjust multi-gear and 7) install pedals and chains. NEW! UMCycle Bike Brake Adjustment

This workshop is for everyone. No previous bike experience required. We will show you how to adjust your rim and disc brakes! Feel free to bring your own bike to see how to adjust your specific brakes.

NEW! UMCycle Bike Fix a Flat

This workshop is for everyone. No previous bike experience required. We will teach you how to: take wheels off your bike; determine the cause of your flat tire; repair your old tube; reassemble your tube, tire and wheel; put your wheel back on your bike.

Get outside this summer and learn basic skills, rules, scoring and game strategy. Participants will need to bring their own racquets, but other equipment will be available. Participants should dress for the weather as classes will only be cancelled due to severe conditions.

Bianca Maida

Fitness champions are members who encourage others to stay active. Bianca is a member who always finds time for a workout and enjoys helping others achieve their fitness goals. She was nominated by Oliver Ko who had this to say. “She pushes me to be the best version of myself everyday and doesn't let me slack off when she knows that I have more to give.
