Summer & Auxiliary Programs

Building on UMS-Wright's existing mission by providing academic, athletic, and creative opportunities to ignite new passions and strengthen an individual's potential in mind, body, spirit, and character.

When I think of our after-school and Summer programs, a few qualities come to mind that seem to set our programs apart from others.

Care. Signing your child up for an after-school or Summer program is another chance for them to engage with teachers outside of the rigorous school day! From learning to create computer programs with Mrs. Merritt to letting loose during a schoolyard game of Wiffle Ball with Mr. Davis, our programs provide fun-filled quality care from our exemplary faculty members. For the families of our youngest bulldogs, our programs serve as an additional opportunity for child care - one where your child gets to play with old friends and make new ones along the way.

Opportunity. Piano, voice lessons, intramural sports, art, coding, science, sewing, building, improv. The options are endless and often everchanging! We eagerly await feedback from our parents through the feedback surveys we send out at the conclusion of each program. This anonymous feedback helps us recognize our strengths, areas for growth, and possible voids we need to fill in order to best meet the needs of our UMS-Wright families. Our goal is to offer all kinds of opportunities that foster our students' current passions while challenging our students academically, athletically, and creatively.

Convenience. We want to make life easier on you. For some, that means walking your child from their piano lesson to their Summe art camp to swim lessons. Some of our students begin their afternoons at an after-school program, follow that with a piano lesson, and end their day at Extended Care. Lean on us to help your child make those transitions and have comfort in knowing your child is safely transported from activity to activity without you having to come back to campus. We also are thrilled to enter our fourth year of partnering with CampBrain, an online registration platform that streamlines the billing and registration process. Long gone are the days of completing multiple registration forms and writing multiple checks. Experiences. Over the course of the 2021-2022 school year, UMS-Wright provided ninety afterschool and intramural programs, and during the Summer of 2022, over 40 academic, athletic, and specialty camps.

In conclusion, our programs would be nothing without the support of the UMS-Wright families who enroll, and often fill, our programs every quarter. We are indebted to your patience and understanding, especially if you have ever been placed on a waitlist! It is an absolute privilege to serve our parents and students in this role, and we look forward to exciting after-school programs to come.
