Lebogang Mokubela The state of hip hop dancing in Pretoria I recently attended a talent event hosted in Pretoria by 012 Entertainment and the show was amazing but I was quite disappointed at the level of dancing. There is enormous talent in Pretoria but honestly? Pretoria dancers need to improve. All I saw at the event were groups and groups of dancers doing pretty much the same thing. Even the music was essentially the same. As a result, no Pretoria crew made it to the Red Bull Beat Battle - that should say something. When I worked with Thithi Nteta on the first Red Bull Beat Battle in 2011, Pretoria was not even considered in regards to auditions. Pretoria dancers had to travel to Johannesburg to audition. That is honestly sad. Pretoria has lost respect in the dance world, sad but true. 2014 will be the third year that the Dance to Las Vegas competition has been held in Cape Town – in my opinion; the organisers of Dance to Las Vegas have seen and adored the level of commitment of Cape Town crews and dancers. I, too, adore Cape Town crews - definitely. And that’s only because Cape Town dancers have proven to show extreme focus and attention to detail (going out of their way to improve their craft). Some of these crews have represented South Africa on the international stage on many occasions – some dancers are resident choreographers in dance studios in Los Angeles. Excellent is the only way to describe it. Do not get me wrong - I am not bashing Pretoria dancers. All I am trying to do is to impose a sense of direction amongst dancers – improvement is needed. My other major concern is that the bigger majority of Pretoria dancers do not even bother attending workshops, which is essentially the reason why improvement is needed. Originality is derived from knowledge – if you do not have the necessary knowledge, you will not know how to bring new and fresh ideas and choreography to the dance floor. On the lighter side, you have crews like Kryptonite (from Pretoria) that won the IDO World Championship in Germany; a Pretoria crew, world champions? Nice! That’s something worth celebrating – this is evidence that other Pretoria crews can also do the same. TeamKFO has managed to get the Dance to Las Vegas 2013 DVD before it goes on sale to the general public which will be screened and showcased free of charge to Pretoria dancers. How can we help dancers improve? Our philosophy: expose dancers to people greater than them. Visit the KFO page on Facebook and get details to the live screening of the DVD: www.facebook.com/teamKFO

Eagles fly alone in high altitude, not with sparrows or with other small birds. No other bird can get to the height of the eagle. It is the nature of an eagle to focus on what’s above not on the ground because the
. As a child of God, your dream will either stretch you or shrink you. Small dreams will shrink you but big dreams bring out the bigger part of you. To dream is free, but for you to focus and pursue your dream in life, it will cost you everything, your friends (sparrows) may turn their backs on you all because of the dream that you have. If your dream should come true, be persistent, despite the troubles and impossibility of your dream, despite the discouragement go ahead and dream another dream. Joseph had a dream for his life, but as long as he stayed with his brothers (sparrows) they continued to make him see his impossibility of his dream, they envied him. Why? Because Joseph’s dream was bigger than their thoughts. It was too big for them to imagine. It is after the dream, that Joseph started experiencing challenges. Some have dreamed but they don’t want to pay the price that will lead them to the prize, which is their dream coming true. Christians ought to dream because 9

So how did it all begin? When did you start singing? Started singing in grade 7 for a school play where I sang solo. Has music always been what you wanted to do in life or it is something that just came on your path and suddenly you got interested? I’ve always wanted to be a singer but never thought I was good enough until I auditioned for idols and got such an awesome response. You part of theatre week in 2011 what motivated you to go back in 2012? I'm that type of girl that always gets things right the second time (laughs) I have to make mistakes and then learn from them. Auditions are said to be different from theatre week and all the other challenges, what does it take to make it through theatre week, in the Idols house and all the other challenges? Just takes dedication and drive. When you were asked if you could choose the next idol you said “the next Idol would be between Melissa and Tshidi” how do you feel about Khaya’s Victory? I love khaya he is my big brother so either way I was happy.
12
You will always be remembered as the Girl who brought the soft side of Randall Abrahams! Does any of the judges give you a ring once in a while to check up on you? No they don't but they are so sweet and supportive in their own ways. What was it like saying goodbye to the other contestants, after spending a long time with them in the Idols house? It was ok hey we are and promised to stay in touch.
I love chilling out! All the time so yes!
Are you still in contact with them?
Who is your favourite Artist right now?
Yes! I’ve seen almost everyone after the comp. We still love and enjoy each other’s company.
AKA
You have probably heard a lot of advice during your idols stint. What is the one advice you’ll never forget? The best advice I got was definitely that if music is your passion you can make it your full time job and that's what I intend on doing. Do you have any words of advice to those who made the auditions of this year’s competition? Work hard play hard enjoy and be grateful for this once in a life time opportunity Since Idols, were you approached by any record labels? Yes but none that I have signed with Funniest thing that ever happened or experienced when interacting with a fan(s)?
2nd January, day before you received your matric results, describe your thoughts and emotions during the wait? Scared!! Nervous!! I was so scared I failed What do you remember about your childhood? I remember loving the spice girls a lot. With your birthday coming in October what is the one birthday present you looking forward to? Hopefully having an album out by then If you could make a song with anyone in the world, who would it be? It would definitely be drake I love drake What are your plans for the future?
They knew my birthday was so special for me Study! Write music! Sing music! Record music! Party! Love!

I'm Kgosi-etsile John Dube as known as Master-Kay, I'm from Pretoria, South Africa, born in 1999, March, 02 (14 Years Old)
My occupation is everything about media entertainment, I mean I entered modelling when I was 13 which is last year, I've released 4 mix tapes and formed a music group, SRMG (Student Rappers Music Group), this year I got a call to come shoot at SABC Studio for Muvhango as an extra and this is not first time, in short, I do casting & music, but here I'm going to talk about music.
advice but finds it difficult to address issues with her own marriage. Jurnee Smollett plays the central character in the film. Her character is caught between Lance Gross and Robbie Jones. Smollett’s Judith is an Ivy League educated relationship expert who gives marital advice for a living, yet can't seem to follow that advice in her own marriage to Bryce (Gross). Bored with her life, she breaks her professional code and begins an affair with a smooth talking client (Jones). After the initial excitement of their torrid relationship wears off, Judith realizes that she's made a grave mistake. It will take every ounce of courage and forgiveness for Judith to escape the dangerous situation she finds herself in. Rounding out the cast are Vanessa Williams in the role of Janice, the owner of the firm where Judith practices, and Kim Kardashian as Ava, Judith’s sassy coworker. Accomplished singer and actress Brandy Norwood, better known to some as simply Brandy, will play Melinda, Bryce’s coworker, whose personal life ends up intersecting with Judith’s in an unexpected twist.
Little Johnny’s Corner: THE MATH WHIZ Little Johnny returned from school and saying he got an 'F' in Math. "Why?" asked his father. "The teacher asked 'How much is 2x3?' I said '6'" "But that's right!” said his dad, upset at the injustice. "Then she asked me 'How much is 3x2?'" "What's the f*@#%! difference?" asked his dad. Little Johnny replied "That's exactly what I said!"

South Africa Facing the Holocaust: Abortion By Vanessa Tholakele "Thou Shalt Not Kill" Exodus 20:13, what’s wrong with you deceived minds? The South Africa's Government has legalized murder. "What if I have been raped? the man who raped you deserves justice not the pre- born baby that knows nothing about this world sins. You can give the baby for adoption and it doesn't cost do give a baby for adoption. "What if the condom burst?" Before having sex you should have known that condoms are not 100%, and as soon as you find out that his sperms have got attached to your ovaries egg, take morning after pills which will dislocate the sperm from the egg which makes it highly impossible for you to even fall pregnant. "It’s not murder, a foetus is not yet a baby"- let me correct your deceived minds! As soon as you miss your periods, the foetus has got a heartbeat and brains, doesn't a normal baby have a heart and brain??? I am representing the pre-born babies whom are being sucked apart, chemically killed and abused to death, this little humans struggle, to escape the horror of mankind.
Abortion is Murder
Dangers of Abortion: 1.It rises the risk of having breast, uterine and cervical cancer in a woman. 2. Give high risk of octopi pregnancy and infertility. 3. Later in life you might have miscarriages due to abortion. 4. Some have died during abortion processes due to excessive bleeding in the cervix.
Abortion has many medical facts dangers, before making abortion the only solution think about its dangers... Do not kill our nation!

Thapnaz Yho, that's a toughie. I define Youth Culture as a lifestyle, something that drives all of us to know more about whatever interests us. It influences the thinking and re-defines what it means
What is Youth Culture?
to be young and free
A youthful view of things, by Lungile Amanda Mseleku Back then, "it" was known to man as just another phase of growth. "It" was as mere as a group of youngsters trying to find their way in the "dark passage" we call life. Interesting how the people around us never go out their way to try understand the way a simple youngster operates in the modern world. Only the brave (excuse the diesel slogan) will have the guts to at least comprehend the youth culture. Nowadays, being a part of the youth goes way beyond your age group. It seems to penetrate in your blood stream and becomes your life. The youth of today seem to have learnt how to rotate fashion and trends amongst themselves in no time. I wouldn't be surprised if the business world sometimes envied it. I mean, they have to implement business proposals to get an idea over. While on the other hand, the youth gets it done with the use of just one text, in a split second. Quick example: I've recently realised, especially with the vintage attire having become the new "swag" these days. . . That a certain style doesn't only rotate around a circle of friends. Yet it appears to be an influence to those around them too. No no. . . . They're not copycats, just showing a huge sense of being inspired. Yes, INSPIRATION! That’s one of the major aspects I love in the youth culture. Whether a young miss was inspired by Alicia Keys, by John Legend or by the kid-next-door; the satisfaction gained from being inspired all seems the same. Only problem is when it leads to "practical plagiarism". Uniqueness makes a great substitution for this though. Youth Culture is basically the custom implemented by a young era of people, making a mark in the world in a manner that seems satisfactory to them and those around them.
18
Youth culture Why aren't you swagging? Why don't you have your jeans cut so low my eyes can view your butt crack? Or are you too model C, brought up right, made perfect, strong posture, no faults or do you just dare to be unlike the rest? Why aren't you swagging ga'damnit! Because it’s in those same jeans, seams and lines where you see the cracks to our past. Where you see the old habits of our past. Where you acknowledge the truth to our nature. Truth told it goes way past the vivid disturbing picture, to the colour of our skin. See_see the black painted on my back and know it lies all over. See the colour of my mind too and how I was once raised and told "You are black and incompetent". See the colour of my voice and know that one too many times I might spit shit, yes I might say things, things I'm not to say or not to know but I do but I'm told not to know still Its these words I was told, by my great uncle's great brother about how this once we lived in a one room near aunt Constance And our streets where filled with childish cries and the clothes we wore were what we now term "vinny" And how we looked was once mocked black and what we were called is now know "nigga"?? So I repeat, why aren't you swagging? These customs procrastinate fading to show the best of what once was, the truth in our minds The language in our tongues How close white is to black How pure mockery is close to 'cool' And how our freedom, This youth's freedom is so close to 'culture' So why the hell aren't you Not swagging?? Let it be through these vinny's we commemorate our lost Let it be through these words we feel unity Let it be through those old dances we feel whole Let it be through that butt crack from that jean, we see another pass. A path that presents youth culture.

Music, what is music? Music gives wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to the soul. Being an artist in SA comes with the battle of competing with US music to get the masses to listen to you, what is your battle plan, to get the masses to listen to you?
Your music videos have being getting air-play, you've been featured on different publications both online and print. Many artists tend to become arrogant through all these, how do you stay humble? I’ve seen arrogance destroy people and I don't want the same, I'm an ordinary guy who happens to appear on TV and I'm not the first nor the last so it ain’t going to my head What was the inspiration?
I'm just gonna do me and try to sound as original as I can. More rappers are coming out of Cap City, what role do you play in insuring that Pretoria music grows? And have you worked with from Cap City and other parts of the country? I still run my own recording studio and try to help out where I can in terms of recordings and other digital production related activities to fellow upcoming cats and youngins tryna get in the game. We need to assist each other and learn from each other. What is real in hip hop? Underground or Commercial? Honestly underground is real hip hop but commercial is more entertaining and it’s what people love and prefer these days. What are the highlights of your career? Being on high rotation on channel o, with my first video "duck down". Sh*t I still can't believe it.
My current lifestyle, girls, bottles and hunger. Everything I said on that song is literally what I'm going through at the moment. Your thoughts of your single “The Money” being our song of the month May. Very humbled. What is youth culture? Hip-hop, unity, respect, hard work and books. Lastly music, studying and work, take us through that? Yo it’s hard as hell but I tell myself that at least I'm busy with productive things instead of smoking nyaupe or committing crime.

Tranforming Live It is really sad that girls are emotional people, it is hard for them to let go of something, even when holding on hurts more. There was this girl one time that was in love. Initially their relationship was a long distance relationship but distance was not a barrier. They would talk for hours over the phone and everything just went well. Yes they had challenges but they stood together to overcome. Time came where they were no longer in a long distance relationship since they relocated to one place. It was a great time for them since they were able to see each other more often. But you know whatever you do that is not rooted in Christ does not last long. So as time went by things started changing. When challenges came, one would put the blame on the other, there was no longer that oneness that where they would sit down and discuss the matter whenever things go wrong. The girl would make time so they could solve their problems but her boyfriend would come up with an excuse then the girl would end up taking the blame just as to settle the matter. If someone really loves you, they would make it a priority to settle down issues whenever you guys have problems but giving an EXCUSE?! No! That shows that a person does not want to solve the matter and so why hold on someone that is distancing him/herself from you?! GET OUT of that emotional abuse relationship. God has something better in store for you; just remember to make Him the foundation of everything you do next time and you will never be disappointed. He is God and loves you so much to leave or forsake you!

es with D33 Lanie A lot of times people want a lifetime partner yet they do not know themselves. How do you possibly expect to know someone else before you discover YOU?! People end up losing their identity in Christ because they do not give themselves time to listen to God. You pay attention on trying to know the next person before you know yourself and you get confused on where you are heading in life. You find that the person you are trying to know already him/herself and do not need your approval because they have discovered their identity in Christ. Honestly, no one wants to get involved with someone who has no direction in life, someone who does not know his/her identity, and if they do, they probably did not know that you know not yourself and they will leave you in the long run. The Word of God says it very well that seek first the Kingdom of God and everything shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). It is really that easy. The perfect Father in Heaven just wants you to seek His Kingdom first and He will fulfil the desires of your heart, His Will, will be done upon your life and that will save you a lot of trouble .When you face the world without knowing your identity in Christ, you even settle for less and when you see those who have discovered themselves, all you do is criticise them, but if you have discovered yourself, you do not have time to envy the next person because you know YOU and where you going. You complain how much things do not work out for you, how things always work out for whoever you may think of, you know why? It is because they have handed over the steering wheel to Christ. So it is very important that you discover YOU before you try to discover the person you would want to be in a relationship with. This will also help you not end up stuck in wrong relationships. Why keep on trying to figure out the right person for you, depreciating in the process while God can give you your perfect match if you seek His Kingdom first and depend on Him?! Take time to listen to God and discover YOU in Him and He will deliver that best love story He wrote specially for you! KEEP THE FAITH!

At Rize to Fame, Myself AsiiD and Daniel Were Tired Of Incrypt Crew, So We Wanted To Experience Something New. Right Now They Have All Moved on w/ Their Lives. Doing Something Else. Who are the members? AsiiD Irvin_ Harris Daniel Reverse Cru is portrayed as Hip Hop and Street Dancing crew, is that the only dance discipline that the crew specialize in or there is others, if so what are they? We only specialize in that field, but capable in doing other things. We want to focus on one thing just for perfection reasons How do you guys balance school and dance? Education First, Then Dancing.
TV have been your second home, what was the feeling before shooting the reality dance shows and how do you guys get such opportunities?
The dance scene in Pretoria is at its low compared to years before, we see dancers becoming rappers or singers, what is your take on rap becoming the only identity of Cap City’s hip hop scene?
Honestly! It is nerves (breaking) because you know the whole world could be watching you (Giggle)
It is not going to stay that way, we are currently in the process, of trying to give dance back its platform.
You are so inspirational and your passion for dance just radiates from you guys, so please tell us, what does dancing mean to the crew?
Take us through the last few seconds or minutes before a. performance, the nervous, the excitement and all that?
It is our passion, it is the reason we are who we are today.
(Laughs) the excitement kicks in as we walk on stage, and the crowd reacts! Yes, that's the feeling that takes us through the performance. How is preparation for a guest appearance at an event different from competitions? We focus on our image first, make sure that we appear in a presentable way to the public
What are the most important elements that somebody can get out of dance? Self-Discipline, Time Management & Respect If you could be known for something, what would you like to be known for and what can you say is the greatest Reverse Cru highlights? We want to be known as the crew that made a change to the game, because most dance crews, are doing the same thing and we want to do something different, that's why we make TV appearances of game shows, not just dancing. Our Greatest Highlight Was Competing in the game show Friends Like These That Is Still to Air On TV (27 April 2013) Besides dancing, is there anything that Reverse Cru do? We Do Appearances, TV Game Shows, Appearances and Host Parties. . .

There is some debate over whether the turn is to the left, or to the right. If you "double-time" your hip rolls (in Spanish/Latin dance style), the natural action is to the right, while people with only normal energy levels often use a single-time hip roll, in which case it's easier to turn to the left. Do your own thing! If you can’t do it ask your mom or grandmother, they know this
