T
he lifestyle of a servant
What is a life-style? The word lifestyle is the combination of two words life and style. Life is God himself and style is a manner or way of doing things. In combination we conclude that a lifestyle is a godly manner or way of living.
To uphold is to maintain and sustain the servant’s life. In this scripture the bible tells us that a master is an upholder. He is able to sustain you in your days of trouble and tribulations and up hold you in times you are down. A wicked master does not provide aid for his servants. God has given men the gift of healing to sustain them that they may live long according to his will to serve him more. We have to understand that God did not provide healing that he may show off his power but his healing is available to us as a source of new health to keep us that we may continue serving. For instance, in a company, it is the responsibility of a CEO (chief executive officer) to provide necessary aid to keep the workers in shape to do their work perfectly and accordingly.
Isaiah 42-1 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I Delight; I will put my spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.” Servant A servant is a man or a woman who does his master will and protects the master’s interests. It is in the interest of a servant to do that which pleases the master that he may gain the master’s trust. According to the book of Isaiah 42 verses 1 the bibles say “here is my servant” which means it is the servant responsibility to avail himself to the master. For instance in the book of Isaiah chapter 6 in the year that Uzziah died, Isaiah saw the Lord seated on a throne high and exalted and the train of his robe filled the temple. Isaiah heard the Lord saying “whom shall I send? And who will go for us? And Isaiah as a good servant he made himself available to the work of his Lord (master) by putting himself in a place of service, he now replied by saying ‘here I am. Send me!’ A servant cannot be send until he is available to the work of his master. The master uphold his servant
In the book of 2kings chapter 5 the bible tells us a story of a man called Naaman. He was commander of the army of the king of Aram that makes him a servant to the king. In the sight of his master he was a great man, but what made him great in his master’s sight? It is the service that made him great. Naaman was a man of war but had leprosy, now leprosy is a kind of a disease that affects the skin, causing serious and permanent damage to the body, including loss of hands, nose and other body parts. In the case of Naaman the man great in war what will be of him if he loses his hands. In the book of psalm 144 verse 1 David said “praise be to the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.” What will be of Naaman without his serving kit? There has to be a provision. Now in the story of Naaman a young girl from Israel said to her mistress and said if only my master would see a prophet who is a Samaria! He would cure him. In verse 4 of 2kings chapter 5 Naaman goes to his master and tells him what the young girl had said, and the king says by all means go. The king did not only say go but he send a letter to the king of Israel and ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten seats of clothing for his good servant to be cured from leprosy and finally Naaman receives his healing by the recommendation of his master. A good servant receives an upholding from his master.

When did you start doing this? Was it one person’s idea? I was part of a classical quartet in varsity and we played over 100 weddings one year, we bought electric instruments and started writing and arranging our own music. The original group eventually went our separate ways but I reformed the group after finding the right girls with a love for performing with the idea to play show pieces and then the idea of Pop on Strings emerged with the help of Chris Ghelakis and the Electromode team. Do you all have, in general, good memories or are there any bad memories? We have had a very few horrible gigs along the way from playing in freezing venues to very stressed organizers but the good times definitely out way the bad and we have some great, fun stories to tell. Do you think it improves the performance? I think sharing experiences both good and bad brings us closer and we are able to understand and communicate well which helps with performance and being on stage together. Do you have a practicing method you follow everyday as group? Each day is different depending what's in our schedules as we all live quite busy lives. When recording an album a lot of time and practice goes into the product, then to performing the new tracks live and sometimes we are so busy performing that this in itself becomes our method as we see each other so regularly. How do your quartet prepare on the day of performance? We always do a sound check on the day of performance and make sure we are happy with the sound for the event, then we spend time together getting ready and doing our hair and make-up and talking girly talk. Can you please talk about recording the latest album “Pop

Can you please talk about recording the latest album “Pop on Strings 2 and the song choices? For this album we first approached our fans on facebook to see what their suggestions were, we still stuck to the formula of current pop hits but this time we also included some 'golden oldies' which means the album is a bit more eclectic than the last and think there is a little something in there for everyone. Why do you think other groups aren’t doing this and sticking to formal classic music? I think running an electric string quartet is challenging and think you need the right personality performers who love being on stage yet also have formal classical training. On the first album you had Anna Peacock as Cellist but on the second album we see the introduction of Laetitia Van Wyk as the new Cellist, is Anna still part of the group or is she gone? Anna immigrated to Australia with her husband at the end of last year, we were extremely sad to see her go and we will remain friends for life but we are also very happy to have found Laetitia who is a very talented cellist studying music performance at Pretoria. Where were your quartet members born and where do you all live now? I was born in Namibia, Ruby was born in Soweto, Mia and Laetitia were born in Pretoria but now all of us live in Joburg except Laetitia.

Your quartet name “The Muses”… tell us about it which four of the nine Greek Muses are you and who is daddy Zeus? We're the Muses of fun pop music, fashion, dance and having a good time... Daddy Zeus is Chris! What do you hope to achieve as a musician and as a group? We hope to keep making music together that people enjoy and hope to inspire young people to see how much fun playing an instrument can be. How did other chamber groups and your background in orchestras including music schools influence you as a quartet? We all played in orchestras from very young ages and have grown up making music in groups and this gives us a common understanding. What was the music that changed your life? Music in general has had a huge impact on my life, from a young age classical music has given me opportunities to travel and tour the world and meet other musicians. As a teenager rock and indie music influenced my life and added a lot of meaning and understanding to life and then pop music and performing in a pop string quartet has added even more opportunities for travel and meeting interesting people along the way. In your opinion, what is your strength as a quartet? I think the fact that we are all girls and enjoy everything about performance from the music to fashion to being on stage and giving a good show. Who is the joker in the group? We all have our funny moments but generally just get on well together and enjoy each other’s company. Is your relationship as a group only a professional relationship or does it also extend into your families? We all know so much about each other and our personal lives that it feels like we know the families and partners better than we do! Do you individuals like any other forms of art? Tell us about it. I love to draw and paint but don't get too much time for it. We all have friends in theatre, ballet and music and enjoy going to shows and concerts and supporting our arty friends. Do you have any upcoming concerts and plans for the last half of the year? We have our own Barnyard show coming up at Cresta Barnyard on the 5 August, You can also catch us at a few festivals and public shows throughout the year so check out our facebook page and follow us on twitter for more info (themusesza).

10 spring do's and don’ts We might think that summer is months away but preparation for change of season is vital, in order to look and feel good, looking after your body is just as important as dressing it, they go hand in hand. So here are a couple of fashion do's and don'ts for the upcoming seasonal change. 1. Don't go overboard with PrintsDo wear a printed top paired with plain denim shorts; drawing less attention to the bottom area. 2. Do wear Nudes with pops of Neon colour: this is excellent for the season of colour. Try to stay away from Neon colours head to toe-you might come across looking like a traffic cone. Keep it simple. 3. Wear sandals with detail-don’t just wear sneakers; let your feet breath. (It has been a long winter) 4. Stick to your natural hair colour. There is nothing as good as healthy hair, it can make a huge difference to your outfit.
20
5. Bustier tops are lovely with loose flared high waist skirts.-Take a risk and have fun. 6. Explore dip dyed denims that are studded and roughly cut. 7. Wear straw hats, it adds personality to your dress code and will protect you from the sun at the same time. 8. Wedges are always a winner. Pair it up with a good dress or skinnies to add length to your outfit. 9. Pops of pink and tangerine on the lips adds flavour to your face and can be the cherry on top of a plane neutral outfit.
10. Just do you. Go according to what makes you feel comfortable. Be the best version you by dressing for yourself. Every day is special so dress like your surroundings is your paradise. 21

Lyrics by Destiny’s Child ~ Independent woman

Morden vs. Culture Remember that huge dude that was born in 1787 and was assassinated by his two half-brothers: Dingaan and Mhlangana in 1828? Doesn't ring a bell? Well I'm talking about the greatest African warrior that ever lived. C'mon man, way back then I'm sure even you thought the theme song to his television serial was a karaoke tune #bom bom bom bom. Ha-ha, if you're still pondering, allow me to put you at ease then. I'm referring to King Shaka Zulu; founder of the Zulu kingdom, Zulu king and conqueror. He must've gained the greatest recognition worldwide for his leadership. The level of respect his clan had for him was beyond admirable and lingered on and on. Are cultural traditions still present in our day and age? Well of course, yes. These appear in the village areas and culture dominated families within our countries. The unfortunate and “ugly truth" about this though, is that these cultural practices oppose God's word. For instance, the sacrificing of animals and burning of incense to ancestors. In Biblical days, such was only for God Almighty; as when Abraham offered a live animal at the altar. The point I'm trying to make is that a passionate Christian gets easily offended by traditional practices and therefore may end up going against the family beliefs.
Modern trends give freedom to choosing your one's own beliefs. In one family for instance, the dad could be a traditional healer in an area, the daughter- a potential sangoma going through ukuthwasa(being trained to be a sangoma), the son could be ignoring the whole family and just become Muslim and mother a clear reflection of Christ- a woman of the church of God. That is a clear indication of how everyone is allowed to take on their own path of religion and tradition or lifestyle.
Truth is cultural practices are the best way to go when wanting to groom young ladies and gentleman. The girls learn how to be beautiful, strong and hard working wives. The boys grow up to being men full of courage, wisdom and stature. Whilst one can take the blissful route of living according to Christ; which the gogo's May feel is a little to opposing to their tradition especially when you can base an argument on a bible verse. There isn't a great gap between modern and cultural practices. Basically the thin line drawn is that of freeing your mind and embracing what you believe in. What's 24 important is to never lose yourself and always remember to be grounded.

kker: Just put a Zookwa on it
Sometimes all you want is a bit of vintage in your style that will give you the edge from the yester years. Zookwa clothing brand present themselves as your answer to that. The brand a brain child of Nkanisani Mabogo, that was formed early 2006 with a help from his mother and uncle. When Zookwa was formed it went by the name Vendalation, which is still the identity of Zookwa as a brand. “I have an unhealthy addiction for Fashion. I predict that in a few years I won’t have to worry about (another) end of the world, but instead being buried alive in a Tomb full of clothing. My fate is sealed”, Nkay explains. Zookwa clothing brand found its inspiration when Nkay was on a trip around Joburg with his creativity class, and he saw a group of protesters, protesting for the 5cent to be kept in the South African currency. The trip ended with an appeal by the creativity class teacher to Nkay and his classmate to come up with something that will signifies the field, then Zookwa clothing brand was formed.
Nkay adds that Zookwa is different from the rest of the other clothing lines in and out of Johannesburg in terms of it is unique, it is something that haven’t being done, we not there for implementing your own idea and also implement somebody else ideas that is not what we stand for, mostly if you put your own ideas it makes it a very different day! Zookwa is known for making their clothes for the client, if the client will be comfortable with the clothing before they even don it. They have worked with Eddy King Photography on their Fashion Show and they also on the verge to launch the Eddy King Range in collaboration with Eddy King Photography on the 27th of July in Sunnyside, Pretoria. It is a collaboration galore for Zookwa clothing, they working with Fashion Independent a fashion blog/catalogue, Mike Masego from Mike’s Fashion (He was featured at the Soweto Fashion week and the Cape Town convention) and also with Mad House Entrainment a Limpopo music record label. Their Eddy King range will include sweaters, spring shirts and jackets. Nkay further states that Zookwa represents breathe of fashion air into the new era of the fashion industry, also new style of unique generous music, nice photographic image, and film-making. “We also passing a movement where we encourage teenagers to stay at home and focus on what they should be doing and not what they shouldn’t be doing. The response to the brand in the Joburg street wear market is still steadily low since the introduction of the brand in March this year. Zookwa was only available in Limpopo until its introduction in Joburg. Nkay said the sales in Joburg are still at the same step of the ladder since they started however they aim to go beyond that in the next coming year or so, “a lot of things are going to happen this year for us, our customers, all the followers who have being following us but you can never count your eggs before the eggs hatch, guys from UNISWA are showing up but we wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise, just be on the lookout. 27 There are seven different agents around the country, if interested in buying any of their clothing, you may contact them on Vibenky@gmail.com, Zookwa.wordpress.com, Facebook: Zookwa, Twitter: @Zookwa and Phone: 079 920 2779
Does Love Hurt?
Improve your selfacceptance and self-esteem
By Vanessa Tholakele If you’re experiencing pain right now over a love relationship, it has nothing to do with love. The pain is from problems you have in the relationship, not the loving part. The loving part always feels incredible. What doesn’t feel incredible, is the internal angst you are putting yourself through. Who hasn't experienced the pain of love? Or is it the pain of rejection? The pain of self-doubt? The pain of fear? It's important to distinguish between loves and totally separate emotions. Love is not painful and it was never meant to be painful, bit it is the most cherish(able) feeling. The pain and hurry we feel doesn't originate from love itself but from our doubts, fears, anxiety, anger, broken trust, envy, the past etc. So why do we sum all this feelings in with love (which is innocent)? Love feels special, innocent, open, warm, and joyous and it is deeply appreciated. The difference is when we are fearful, jealous or happy, we don't feel the Universal Language, or do we? Let me explain the dangerous feelings we tend to blame on love:
Fear; If we felt empty or rather useless or unhappy before we met this individual in our lives, we will fear the emptiness returning if they leave, so their staying with us makes us complete, beautiful/handsome and wanted. Jealousy; If we don't love yourself more and appreciate our flaws we will fell depended on the other person which can cause jealousy if there with someone else other than you, and it will result in ANGER. Word of Advice: If you really want to remove the love baggage of fear and unhappiness, the first step is to improve your self-acceptance and self-esteem, also learn to let go.
Love Doesn't Hurt and It Never Did

Modern vs. Tradition By Khuthadzo Rambau
Is it jeans or takkies, or beads and machetes? The world needs to know exactly which half are you? A clear left or right? Are you westernised or still a traditionalist? The world needs to know. Because the rash of your change is far from normal, it is time you state a clear path. Are you "the goner" or still true? The worlds needs to know! From girls that sang pride in doing their Domba dance to come of age Happy to chant in full nakedness to the hereditary chiefs. To those that sing the rights to privacy and No public nakedness. From guys that preached "umfana wase khaya" To those that would rather call out "my nigger, your nigger, and his nigger". From homes that teach a girl to grow strong for her husband and household. To those in heels, raving pride, independence and no man.
No calabash on my head, but a tattoo on my body will do. No labour for my hands, but a manicure and treatment will do. No "minwendas" on me, Better yet a fine dress will do. Those that are cut to seem so low they'd leave my sister's bums out. Trying so hard to look like Barbie & ken at 10. No big sized African queens but slick thin madams trying too hard to stay slim she won't eat a plate of samp because the doctor said it holds way too many calories.
Doc says none of that. Trends say none of that. Men I can do without. My weight, can do without. My pride, can’t do without. So which half are you? Because the world needs to know! Are you a clear left or right? Are you westernised or still a traditionalist? The world needs to know! Are you "the goner" or still true?

Tell us about your career as a model, from how you got started to now. My modelling career started rather unexpectedly. I did a few photo shoots and functions for some of my friends and it just ‘snowballed’ from there. This hobby grew into passion, driving me towards participating in the greatest event so far – Miss Free State 2013. What does it take to be a successful model? I have learnt that you gain the most success by being yourself. It is important to take care of yourself inside and out. You have to constantly grow spiritually and emotionally and always strive towards living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I believe a healthy mind leads to a healthy body. Self-confidence and a good posture is another important part of being a successful model. It takes hard work and dedication, but if you put your mind to it anything is possible. Let’s talk fitness training, when did you start being a fitness trainer and how has it evolved? Health and wellness has always been a big passion of mine and as a result fitness has always been a part of me and take great pride in my body. As a dancer I enjoy doing and teaching any form of fitness training, from Zumba to trampoline aerobics, for cardio training, to anti-gravity and pole dancing for tone and strength training.
You also work with motor development (Monkeynastix). Tell us about your role with the kids. Monkeynastix is an aerobic programme designed to improve the motor development of pre-school children. The classes are mainly for Gross motor development and in most of our classes we do eye/hand and eye/foot coordination. We also do Fine motor development in some classes. It involves funfilled classes that include a warm up to music, stretch and tone and working with specialised equipment. You must have an incredible wardrobe, what are your current favourite items? It is important to dress according to your own body type. My current favourite items would have to be a stunning pair of heels and that famous ‘little black dress. One of the first things everyone notices is the incredible poses and the beautiful body structures, however with Miss Free State every contestant had at least some academic background, what does education mean for modelling in general? Education is a vital part in any person’s upbringing. It forms a strong foundation for making informed decisions and recognising opportunities to grab with both hands. It is also where you learn to work hard and persevere in anything that you pursue.
37
What do you like most about being a model? What do you least enjoy? I enjoy the experiences and building memories. I least enjoy falling. :-D
“South Africa is an amazing country
What career achievement are you most proud of?
What advice do you have for aspiring models?
Winning Miss Free State! As a dancer it would be competing in the World Championships in Germany and New York City.
If you have a positive attitude, confidence in yourself and your capabilities, and you are passionate about what you do, you can achieve greatness, whether it being a model or anything else in life.
If you could shoot with anyone (models and/or photographers), who would you choose and why? I would love to shoot with Tyra Banks as she has amazing confidence, technique and experience which will give me an amazing opportunity to improve in that field. Who or what inspires you? People who always has a positive attitude even in a negative situation. Someone who in spite of their challenges decides to still positively influence people’s lives.
Let’s talk a little about Miss Tourism International that will take place on New Year’s Eve because that’s really a milestone representing your country at such a stage. What does this mean to you? Representing South Africa at Miss Tourism International is a great honour and privilege. South Africa is an amazing country with excellent tourism potential and I see it as a great opportunity to promote my country and its tourism possibilities to the rest of the world. Please tell us about your future projects since winning the contest means a lot more than wearing the crown? I am currently helping to organise a Zumbathon Charity Event which will be held on 27 July, in Mimosa Mall. I will be travelling across the Free State visiting towns and helping organisations and people as a representative of the Wings of Dreams project. Later this year I will organise two more charity events in collaboration with the Top 5 finalists. Apart from Miss Tourism International I will also be competing in Miss Summer International in Bulgaria, in September. Congratulations, it’s well deserved, and thank you for giving us a glimpse into your world, anything else you want to say to your followers and those who were supporting you through it all? Thank you for your support and encouragement. I hope to truly make a difference in serving the nation.

Simmy Bwoy By Una Ramses
Despite his stage name sounding far-fetched, Zimbabwean rapper Simmy Bwoy lives up to his stage name meaning an “Awesome Boy”. His first mixtape “Trap-King” released late 2012 along with three hit singles that talk for themselves. The first single “Promises”, the second “Turn-Up” and the third “Everything I Love”, was his way of saying I promise you I turn up your souls through trap because trap music is what he loves. He hopes to gain the respect in what he calls the hood and the people who run the music industry. "I am working on a mixtape called Foreign, the first single will be out August 1st titled Cuban Link, I believe I am Trap King and I respect trap hip hop, so the mixtape is gonna be full of trap songs," says the 24-year-old, who was born Simeon Toendepi. "I have a lot by which all local artists will learn even the instrumentals that are there. We are using live instruments in some of the beats on the mixtape, I do music for the hood so I wanna earn that respect I deserve, respect is more important than anything to me."
The producer stays humble to 012 South whom he met in Pretoria when he first came to South Africa. "The 012 South are the first guys I met when I came to Pretoria in 2009, I have learnt a lot from them." He further explains his relationship with Dr Feel leader of 012 South, manager and mentor, "all that goes to Dr Feel of 012 South, he taught me a lot in the music industry and am still learning a lot from him. I give him respect because he is very humble every day of my life am learning a new thin from him"
Simmy’s journey to success is still at its foundation phase "At first started by being a producer that was in 2008, than I became interested in rapping in 2010, so now am doing both rapping and producing”. When Simmy’s interest in rap started growing in 2010 he wrote his first song ain’t over. "It didn’t go that far because by then I had I few fans and more people we’re not taking us serious” he says.
The Ever hardworking Simmy is the brand ambassador of Lama Clothing and he also secured a position as one of the producers and artists at newly formed worldwide production team Da Creators. "The future looks bright because I already have a position in Da Creators as a beat maker so everything is looking good," he says. The “Promises” hit maker looks forward with a smile as he approaches the light at the end of the tunnel in a land away from his own.
Simmy finds his music unique and rare. "I would describe it as uniquely unproduced, because I’m trying my level best to do something different that hasn't been out there yet" Simmy spent the larger part of his life in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, and his birth place. "Was born in Harare, things were going real well. I was raised in a family were everyone was a fan of Hip Hop" he says. His upbringing destined him to a musical career into Hip Hop "in high school that’s when I started music, soon after I finished school I came to Pretoria because most of my family members were already staying here. That is also when I met members of 012 south."

How was your experience shooting for Y-Not Culture cover? Shooting with Y-Not Culture was an amazing experience I must say it was a shift into the right direction and something out of my shell actually the feeling is indescribable What does it mean to you to be a young model also aim for a degree, distinguishing yourself away from the typical stereotype of models being dumb? being a young model to me doesn't just mean being in front of the camera and being known by certain people, being a young model aiming for a degree means that I have a hobby and a dream of making it big, being a model is something I love but aiming for my degree in communication and media studies is my passion and I believe in being educated because when my modelling career fails me I will have something to hold on like my degree. What is your biggest beauty secret? laughing out loud ever heard of its a family secret but it’s really simple hey I have my 3 golden rules take care of yourself, love yourself and always try to look your best When you take photos do you have an alter ego who you channel? no there is no alter ego, I just love taking pictures I believe am photogenic which is why am forever taking pictures I usually have a certain amount of pictures I wanna take either than that I just love being in front of the camera Ultimate Turn on and Turn off in a guy? (Laughs) I wouldn't put it like that but hey what turns me or rather what I find attractive in a guy it has to be his sense of style I love guys who can dress it also has to be his personality he must have a great personality and lastly a guy who knows what he wants to achieve in life a guy who has dreams and goals. What I don't like in guys has to be a guy who has a bad sense of humour a guy who can't dress and lastly a cook that can't cook Describe your fashion sense? My fashion sense is really simple it’s basically to look nice and simple always anything that is nice and suits it goes but vintage does it for me What's your most favourite part of body or sexiest attribute? My favourite part of the body has to my figure if not my curves which in most cases pop out Lastly. What do you think of Twerking? Twerking yea? Well I think Twerking should be prohibited because it’s41 sort of provocative to guys it gives them false hope it turns them on and for what?? I also find it offending to girls that have no behind who wish they could twerk so I think Twerking should be prohibited.

Who is Ali Mirza? Ali Mirza is a young talented rapper from Pretoria with dreams of being a Legend someday. Who are your inspirations both locally and internationally?
2011 HALL OF FAME AWARDS SOLO ARTIST OF THE YEAR AND 2012 AND 2013 SOLO ARTIST OF THE YEAR NOMINEE
The people that I surround myself with are the ones that inspire me the most, that being my team (D.O.P.E). But besides that locally, I think seeing what AKA has managed to accomplish in the game inspires me. Internationally, I'm for Kanye's (West) music from day one. I always feel like rappers should be artists when they get into the studio. Pretoria youth or let's say Cap City youth are known for working together to build the youth culture, how do you feel about that? PTA's youth does work together, no doubt! But it’s not enough and there's a lot of unnecessary hate. One should always aim to take over the world with the help of the people around him. Instead of trying to take down the people around him to take over one small city. You are hailed as the prince of Cap City's music scene after you won solo artist of the year in 2011, what pressure and benefits does such a title pose in your career? Popularity is temporary, and honestly it doesn't mean much to me! But then again, I do enjoy the groupie love! (Laughs). Being regarded the Prince of Rap puts me under pressure and makes me do better & better each time I'm in the studio. What's happening right now and what are the future plans for your career, I hear you dropped a mixtape and shoot a music video how is that also coming along? I recently dropped the Mixtape FEAR 2 in April, Received great response for it. Shot two viral videos for songs off the tape. Currently, I'm working with my new stable D.O.P.E . It consists of myself, Zoocci Coke Dope (My Producer), Alonzo, Tee Low, Fable Audemur, Diie Mondez. We are working on a compilation tape, which will be dropping later on this year. We have already released one single off it, titled "DejaVu. Also my 4th solo mixtape is in the pipeline. Lastly you recently passed matric, what are you busy with except music? There isn't much that I'm doing besides music. I have been spending day and night in the studio.

KING IZZY
2012 HALL OF FAME AWARDS SOLO ARTIST OF THE YEAR AND 2013 SOLO ARTIST OF THE YEAR NOMINEE

Thanks for your time for this interview and good luck to future endeavours! Before I let you go what do you make of TWERKING as a dance form? Pleasure is mine, thank you for the opportunity. Well, Uhmm, Twerking? The way I see it, I see it as a dance for attention seekers. No way on earth will I or any man respect a girl that twerks, especial if she does it as a profession. If she's ma girl, and twerks that thang for me, then I'm mos def down for that any day. But once she goes public, then I hit the N1.
So who is King Izzy Bulldozer? King Izzy is a music artist and sound engineer, Based in Pretoria. Before everything else! “Bulldozer” how does that fit in the name King Izzy and you as an artist?
Last year at the Hall Of Fame awards you won Best Solo Music Artist of the year 2012! You were up against Ali Mirza who was dubbed as the favourite, take us through those first few minutes straight after you were announced as the winner?
Well, Bulldozer came about because ii believe that NOTHING can stop me from accomplishing my dreams, goals and ambitions.
Well, I was lost for words, I froze for a minute and wondered if there was an error. As I was the underdog, looking at Ali and Ecco from "SoopaStars", I didn't really expect to win, because as we all know, Ali and Ecco have a lot of groupies. But my faith in God and the belief my fans and family have in me saw me through.
Who are your music influences and who have you worked with so far?
Your long awaited first official Mixtape “One More Step” will be dropping this coming December tell us more about that
I honestly don't have any musical influences, because I believe that if one has influences, he/she will make music that diverges into the direction of that specific influential artist, and you’ll just sound like another version of that artist, which shows lack of originality and creativity. Thus, I for one am influenced by the fact that South African Hip Hop does NOT have a market for TRAP Music and not much for RnB Music either... So I want to give those 2 genre's life. I've worked with Local Artists such as Reverb, Floss, Mac J, Percy Mukwevho "P.Post", O.bita & a duo called "Legion", and more... International artists such as Atlanta based "Dria'Musiq" and upcoming star "Aktual", he's a musical Genius.
"One More Step" will be my first official mixtape, and it'll feature both local and international upcoming artists, as I mentioned earlier. Behind the beat Production is "Sami-Dolla”, California Based “Pandemik Beatz". My new single "Nix Mapa" will be the 2nd single I release for free download from the Mixtape, this July. The mixtape will be sold as hardcopy at first, at certain retail stores in Pretoria and also via order placements for those who are not based in PTA. Then later on, it’ll be up for digital downloads. For more information, PreOrders or to keep updated about the tape. Invite-BBM: 29718061 Twitter: @KingIzzy_SA
Your work includes being a producer, poet and many more other things. Which one would you say prefer and you are a master in, behind the mic rapping and sing or behind the desk producing? I honestly prefer being behind the mic, singing and rapping, that way I feel like I'm offloading all the emotions, or the pain ii might have experienced, and of cause it helps me build a better relationship with the fans.
What are your other future plans and your message to the nominees of this year’s edition of Hall Of Fame Awards? My future plans? To release this mixtape, and start working on a new single featuring a star name and shoot a video for that. And if all goes well, I plan on expanding and upgrading my studio, in due time. My message to this year's HOFA nominee’s is that they NEED to have a HUGE or a Good fan base, a good relationship with their fans, make music that does NOT curse anyone's belief, Stand besides God, then they'll stand a good chance to win the award. They’ll be up against the best, including 51 last years "Best Solo Music Artist" winner, me.

KLASSICK I go by the name of Klassick also known as 'The Fresh Prince of Cap City'. I'm a rapper from Pretoria who happens to know how to sing & produce. At age 22, it’s been more than a decade since I've been rapping, once won 'The King of Cap City' battle in 2007 on Unisa FM against Cap City's Greatest. From a battle rapper to an artist, Klassick has mastered every element in Hip Hop. Klassick is in a crew by the name of BlaqRaze, which consists of only two members (Klassick & K-Fizz) the best Rap Duo to ever do it out of Cap City. We were once signed under the Record Label 'Relentless Entertainment' in 2008 for our unique flow, accents & word play. We've also had clothing labels such as 'Baby Boy Clothing' sponsor us with free clothes from the year 2009 - 2010. Our first tape "If It Ain't Black, Then It’s Too Dark" dropped in 2010 and was a complete success as it reached Airwaves from TuksFM, Capricorn FM, Unisa FM & Tshwane FM, giving us the platform we needed for exposure & recognition. So many times people get in a relationship seeing no future with the person. Why waste each other’s times. The more you get in and out of relationship with many people, the more you depreciate. Keep yourself. If you see no future, why even go for it when you know it is just going to decrease your value. Just like a car, the more it travel, the less valuable it becomes and therefore people lose interest in it. Sure you do not want to be like that. There is really no use in dating someone you do not see a future with. It is OK to be single. It saves a lot of running around in circles. If they say you do not fit in because you don’t have a partner yet, tell them it is OK because you are born to standout. God’s plans for you are not the same as theirs in any case (Jeremiah 29:11). Even when the majority is dating, there is still the minority that is not and it does not mean if it’s not a lot of them then it’s wrong. Refuse to be in the majority where amongst them are a lot of those who do not know what they really want. Stand your ground. Do not be shaken by the pleasures of this world. Allow your mind to be transformed completely by good things (Romans 12:2). There is always time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-15). Don’t let your time to be single pass you by while busy chasing a wrong relationship when the right one is yet to come in due time, otherwise you will end up getting unpleasant results that will make you think you are not worthy. Keep calm and wait upon God’s timing. It won’t be a minute late. KEEP THE FAITH!

It was last year when the girl from a good family background got to varsity. She behaved so well and that attracted a whole lot of guys but still she turned everyone down that took a chance in proposing her for love. Before the end of the first semester she had made new friends and was happy with them. What she did not know was their lifestyles. At first they behaved like saints until one weekend when they took her out to a club. She felt so uncomfortable and wanted to go back to her flat, but none of them wanted to walk with her. She was forced to stay there until everyone else was satisfied by dancing and drinking. One of her friends brought her a drink in a glass. Just a few minutes after LESSON:taking the drink, she started losing control. She went on the dance Take time to know people you associate floor and danced with anyone she could find on her way. Just before yourself with. They may look good on the 2am the next morning, they then decided to go. They could not walk outside but evil in the inside .Never forget because it was so dark outside so they had to make a plan. There was where you come from and stand on what you this guy they knew who had a car. Two of them went to talk to him believe in. Had that girl refused to go to the and one left behind with the girl. Well, it worked out and that guy had club in the first place, she would have never agreed to take them home. When they got there, the three of them come across all that. Avoid accepting open dropped off and left the girl inside the car with the guy who drove drinks from people. Know your partner’s HIV them. He drove off with her and there they were, at his flat. They had status, having sex even if its once can ruin your sex and it was in the next morning when she woke up sober and whole life. Above all these, let God be the realised she was not at her place. She asked what had happened and centre of your life! the guy told her everything, not forgetting that her friends had gone to him and said she sent them to ask for a lift then she will be the price for a night. She broke into tears and asked the guy to take her home. When she got there, her friends are there and they started asking how it went with the guy, she started crying again and asked them what had happened then they told her the very same story the guy told her 57 .So she became curious of how she ended up getting drunk and no one answered. She remembered her friend gave her an open drink then she figured out they had drugged her. She had just lost her virginity and tested HIV positive. From that day, her whole life had changed.

“Patients & hard work leads to a better life
60
Reptilez Crew started as an army of close to 20 people, then narrowed down to 5 members, just a blink of an eye King Cobra (Sakhile) is nowhere to be found; what is the story behind the transformation over the years? Yeah we started off as an army slowly members started pulling out due to family issues & school and we also had to let some go due to commitment. King Cobra was one of the top 5 big dogs but in a way he was also caught up between family and the crew and at that time we had nothing but just dreams, dream we never thought we would achieve like now. So we also had to respect that fact that he wanted to make his family happy & proud so we let him go. What role do each of the remaining members play in the crew? We all have an important role in the crew from dancing/choreography to building ReptzEnt (Reptilez Entertainment) and there are too many jobs and things that need to be done like: bookings, meetings, getting clients, sponsors, keeping sponsors happy, maintaining the relationships with close people, performances & travelling. So there a lot of things and jobs to be covered and we don't assign jobs to anyone. We all have responsibilities because we all want reach somewhere as a crew. You are so inspirational and your passion for dance just radiates from you guys, these all led to the birth of Reptilez Crew Cold-blooded! Are you guys by any chance associated with each other? Yes we are associated with them, it’s just that we don't teach them things due to us being on the road a lot. But yes they are family. The stuff they do is under us. Strictly hip hop champions twice in a row, Masters of Rhythm champions and Red Bull Beat Battle champions, what can you say is the greatest Reptz Crew highlights? We have so many highlights it would seem unfair to mention just one, but the biggest blessing us grateful for is us meeting and sticking together... Otherwise there moments like: Drake, Usher, Kanye West, AKA, L.tido, George Avakian, Brazil, Seychelles, Tinny Temper, winning all the comps you named above, interviews and gigs we can't even mention... They all been highlights to us. Talking about being champions, recently you had to defend your Red Bull Beat Battle crown, how does it feel when you take the stage as defending champions and losing the crown at the end? No one likes loosing (laughs) even us, but with us, we have done it all in terms of winning comps, till today we always get nervous when we hit the stage. That day when we defended our title the competition was crazy and heavy... But the best crew won & we was happy for them because they are our boys because we sometimes tour with them. So we happy the title is close to home (laughs)... Recently at a show hosted by TeamKFO in Pretoria, you guys announced that Reptz is no more just a dance crew but a brand! Shade some light with that and what can we expect from Reptz in 2013? Any tours or gigs lined up?
A lot of planning is and has been made, we on a tour and campaign called #PlayYourPart the motive is to touch kids motivation them to play their part and it’s also called #DanceAgainstDrugs. That's just us with clients wanting to start something new & positive other than that we pushing Reptz Clothing, Reptz Music & Reptz Events. The relationship between Reptz and TeamKFO, take us through it. It was good hey nothing bad to say about them, they one of a few good organisation pushing Dance in SA and we was happy and proud to be part of it. It’s because of these comps Reptz is the best crew... How do you guys balance the TV appearances, radio interviews, tours, and most importantly practice? It’s crazy hey but funny enough we always manage we hardly complain but understand this we didn’t start this for all the publicity we always make it for practice... How is preparation for a guest appearance at an event different from competitions? It’s different because there's call times 2hrs before, stage rehearsals, dealing with their stage set up changing choreography to compliment the stage because stages are not the same. So we always make changes to impress the clients and people who booked us... And the treatment is amazing (Laughs) You are sponsored by DC Shoes Africa, what does such deals mean for dance crews and dancers? It means a lot because now you start to realise that business people & people in power are starting to pay attention to dancing & want to be part of it. For a crew 2 get such sponsor it means free clothing (laughs), money, but again crews need to understand that things change and they need to start carrying themselves in a different way, not be associated with bad things because you not just representing your crew but a brand also. 2017 Reptz will be 10 years old, by then where do you see the crew? We want to see ReptzEnt as a strong brand with all the departments strong & working!!! Success in one line? "Patients & hard work leads to a better life" Thanks for your time for this interview and good luck to future endeavours! Before I let you go what do you make of TWERKING as a dance form? (Laughs) Well it’s a beautiful form of dance I personally don't feel like SA twerkers are doing it well. Having a big butt doesn't make you a twerker. Twerkers need to do their research 1st b4 doing it. But I have nothing against it but I'm one that gets bored easily due to you repeating stuff

Yo Ramses how do you do the Cat Daddy???? The Cat Daddy is a dance created in 2010 by the hip-hop group Rej3ctz, which involves moving one’s hands as if they are turning the wheels of a wheelchair. The Cat Daddy is often performed along with another dance known as the “Dougie.”

The all-new Mercedes-Benz Aclass is not what you’d expect. What used to be a dumpy but technologically daring mini-MPV, much loved by young moms, greying empty nesters and even fastidious grannies, has suddenly evolved into a muscular, sporty Courtesy of www. dailymaverick.co.za premium hatchback. A radical departure from the previous Aclass formula, yes. But hardly unusual in the luxury motoring context. By DEON SCHOEMAN.
The Next Generation Sports Car
Let’s face it: Mercedes-Benz is still considered a pretty conservative luxury car brand. It might build exciting and aspirational cars like the SLS AMG, and run its own Formula One team, but that Three-Pointed Star continues to be rooted in old-style automotive heritage and tradition. For that very reason, the launch of the latest A-class not only marks the arrival of an all-new car, but also epitomises a real effort from Mercedes-Benz to attract a younger, hipper motoring audience. The new car is a radical departure from its predecessor. But then, the original A-class was radical, too, if for vastly different reasons.
66
The first A-class was a small, even tiny car at a time when mainstream Mercedes models were generously proportioned luxury machines. It boasted front-wheel drive when Mercs were rear-wheel driven by definition.
Mercedes-Benz A220 CDI Sport Engine In-line for-cylinder, 1,796cc, turbodiesel Gearbox Seven-speed dual-clutch Power 125kW @ 3,400rpm
And since Mercedes was adamant that even a small Merc should offer the kind of peerless safety the brand was revered for, it engineered a very clever, very advanced sandwich platform for the A-class that would allow the engine to be pushed underneath the floor of the car in the case of a frontal collision, rather than ending up on the driver’s lap.
