Tuition Fees All students in England are expected to pay tuition fees to study at university. However you can apply for a student loan from the government to support you in paying these fees. The fees for the 2021/2022 academic year are as follows. • Full-time, undergraduate tuition fee: £9,250 • Part-time, undergraduate tuition fee: £6,250 Every course is different, but you may need to budget for additional course costs such as books, study resources, uniforms and equipment. To find out more about individual course costs, please see our course information online.

Government loans You can apply for a tuition fee loan and/or a maintenance loan from the government to help pay for, and support you with, your studies. Tuition fee loan If you are a UK student, Student Finance England is likely to provide you with a loan to cover your tuition fees. What our students say “Receiving the Care Leavers Bursary felt like an amazing reward, it made me feel like the institution cared and recognised the struggles that care leavers face.”

“The money I received really helped me financially during my first academic year.”

“I received the Gold Scholarship last year, and it helped me get onto my Coaching Level Two course. This has helped me to get a lot of coaching opportunities elsewhere.”

Be aware of your monthly outgoings so you can budget and ensure that you have enough money each month.

Budgeting For many of you, university will be the first time that you’re responsible for handling household bills and things like the weekly food shop. Budgeting your money will mean you’ll still have enough money to cover both essential outgoings such as bills, as well as having money left over to socialise with your friends. Here are some of our budgeting tips: • Work out a weekly/monthly budget and try to stick to it • Monitor your outgoings • Don’t spend your loan straight away - each instalment should last you for one term • Buy food shopping in bulk • Car share with your friends • Use your NUS card to get great discounts • Get a part-time or weekend job to earn additional income - our Careers and Employability team can help you find suitable vacancies
