We also enrich the student experience by offering trips, social activities and integration within the British culture. Our Colchester campus (less than one hour by train from London) is a green and safe environment where students can enjoy modern facilities, shops and restaurants while studying and socialising in a multi-cultural environment. Richard Barnard Head of Department

I chose to study my foundation at Essex because I knew it was one of the best universities in the UK. The course was structured in a way that suited what I wanted to learn and enabled me to pursue the undergraduate course I was interested in. The support and guidance I have received from the department has been fantastic. I would advise any students thinking about their foundation options to come to the International Academy at Essex because they have brought out the best in me, and I know they will bring out the best in you. The University of Essex is just 50 minutes away from London by train, it is located in a very nice park and the town Colchester is very student-friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The strength of EELP is that teachers identify what you need to learn and what your weaknesses are in order to work on them specifically. Also, they use various and interesting methods for teaching. The programme helped me in many ways as it improved my vocabulary and my academic writing. I would advise students who want to apply to Essex to do it without any hesitation because it is a great place for learning and enjoying your life at the same time.
