Welcome - Undergraduate Students 2017

Page 1

UNDERGRADUATE

Welcome week offers a series of workshops, talks, events and activities for all new students.

Your departmental induction is a compulsory part of your first week. It’s your chance to find out more about your course, to talk with key members of staff, like your personal tutor, and to meet the friends you’re going to be studying with at Essex. Studying more than one subject? All students studying joint degrees are allocated a ‘home’ department. This is where you’ll go to access key support, such as your personal tutor and peer mentor. During Welcome week, please attend your home department events. Find out your home department at www.essex.ac.uk/welcome/myessex. If you have any questions, email askthehub@essex.ac.uk

To become a member of the University of Essex, and to receive your student ID card, you must attend your departmental registration session. Make sure you register at the right time for your department.

We have loads planned during Welcome Week, including social events, workshops, arts, cultural and sports activities. Find out about the opportunities available at www.essex.ac.uk/welcome/whats-on
