Brian Baker lives in Lancashire, England and has been passionate about art all his life. His works have included, wildlife and portraiture using different types of media. More recently Brian is studying old master techniques and styles such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, Antonis Mor and Sargent.
This piece was painted in the early 2000’s . I was experimenting with different mediums. This was in gouache and I was trying to imagine what it would be like taking a look into a fox’s world, watching the curiosity of animals in a place that we couldn’t normally visit. I was trying to show the intensity of nature and the power of colour on the senses.
