OUR MISSION
To improve and transform lives in Denton County.
DEAR FRIENDS,
With the support of donors like you, United Way of Denton County remains committed to our dual strategy (p 8-9) to identify gaps in inefficient systems while simultaneously partnering with agencies (p 10-11) to meet critical immediate needs of our neighbors.
These needs compound as our County’s population exponentially grows each year. It is imperative for the capacity of our local nonprofits to expand to keep pace with this growth. When we Invest in infrastructure (p 13), the result is lives impacted (p 12).
Our financials reflect a much different organization than just a few years ago (p14-15). It’s donors like you who fuel our mission to improve and transform lives.
A client recently said, “United Way of Denton County is love plus action.”
Your continued support makes this equation possible.

INTERCONNECTIVITY OF LEADERSHIP TEAMS
We leverage donations from individuals and corporations with local, state, and federal grants to identify gaps in interconnected systems that ineffectively serve our community. We bring Denton County leaders from education, government, corporate, and nonprofit together as part of three Leadership Teams.
WORKFORCE SUCCESS
Thanks to a system built by the work of the Denton County Homelessness Leadership Team, Denton County prevented a catastrophic influx of pandemicrelated evictions since 2020.
Lack of affordable housing, housing instability, and homelessness undermines mental wellness and employability. Yet, one in three of people who are experiencing homelessness are employed.

Providing every individual and family the opportunity to increase earning potential, succeed, and thrive.
Implementing a coordinated system of prevention and intervention to make homelessness rare, brief and nonrecurring
