The Natural History Museum in the Joanneumsviertel invites visitors on a varied tour through the history of the earth and bio-diversity in Styria.

In 2023, too, long past habitats and landscapes can be explored in the show The Search for Traces … Through the Earth’s History. Afterwards, the focus is on microscopically small structures. Spores are produced by fungi (including lichens), algae, mosses and ferns. Large-format, microscopic photographs, videos, models and preparations offer insight into the fascinating diversity of spore forms.
