Jacobs and Ochoa park experience moderate amounts of sheet flow across the site during monsoon events that cause issues downstream in the mobile homes to the west. Flooding on the site is less of an issue so the design focuses on retaining water within site boundaries. However, the site is heavily programmed and used so largescale basins needed to have function throughout the year. The multi-use fields on the north-west of the site allowed for a system of basins that slowly infiltrated water. Incorporating bioswales and micro basins alleviate much of the sheet flow across the site allowing for the fields to be used more frequently.
