So you’ve got your exam results. What now? Results Day (18th August) marks the start of a busy Clearing period when you have the opportunity to apply directly for a place on one of our degree courses.

What is Clearing? Clearing is part of the UCAS application process that runs from mid-July to September. It gives students who haven’t been made any offers, or those who apply late, the opportunity to apply for study this September.

Who is Clearing for? You are eligible for Clearing if: •

You do not hold any offers

You have declined your offers or have missed the UCAS response deadline

You applied after 30th June 2016

You did not meet the requirements of your conditional offer

You have not yet made an application

You can apply to UEL via Clearing if you match any of the above criteria.

Ok, I match the criteria for Clearing. What do I do now? Prepare and research Check out the universities that offer the course you’re interested in. You can find the official Clearing vacancy listings for all universities on the UCAS website: www.ucas.com When do I apply? Clearing phone lines open on Thursday 18th August at 8am How do I apply to UEL? Be positive and don’t panic! Sometimes things just don’t go the way you’ve planned. Many of our students who have come to us through Clearing have gone on to achieve outstanding success in their studies and careers.
