If you applied late, haven’t yet applied, changed your mind or missed out on the requirements of a conditional offer, don’t panic – there is another route to university. You still have the opportunity to get a place on a course starting this September through Clearing. Key Clearing dates: If you already have your results you can apply through Clearing from Wednesday 5th July. If you’re waiting on A Level results you can apply from Thursday 17th August.
What is Clearing? Clearing is an opportunity to secure a place at university. It runs every year from July to September. If you applied late, haven’t yet applied, changed your mind or missed out on the requirements of a conditional offer, it’s a way to get on to a course and start your academic journey. Students who come to us through Clearing have gone on to achieve first-class grades and inspirational careers. Clearing can be a route to university for you if: • You do not hold any university offers • You have declined your offers or have missed the UCAS response deadline • You applied after 30th June 2017 • You did not meet the requirements of your conditional offer • You have not yet made an application • You are a mature student • You have changed your mind about your course of study And we’re here to help. Our dedicated team can answer any questions you may have about the Clearing process, such as which courses are available or what it’s like to study at UEL. “We’re here to help students going through Clearing every step of the way. From course modules to accommodation and the Students’ Union – we’ve got all the answers to help students decide whether UEL is right for them.” Jenny Tomkinson Applicant Enquiries Manager

Where there’s a place for you “I applied to UEL through Clearing. I knew that Clearing would give me a plan B, and I had seen online that UEL did lots of sport-related courses I was interested in. I also knew how good the sports facilities were because earlier in the year I had gone to watch Wandsworth Wolves men’s basketball team play a match at the UEL SportsDock.” Danielle Cummings BSc (Hons) Sports Coaching
