Profiles Antonia Nae BA (Hons) Fashion Design
Antonia won the prestigious Lipsy Red Carpet Award at Graduate Fashion Week 2016. She won the coveted prize beating 1000 fellow budding student designers with a statement black dress adorned with lace and accompanied with tough leather sleeves. The inspiration behind her winning creation was, according to Antonia from—“The texture and beauty of the nature around the Danube Delta.” Found in her native home of Romania. More than 40 Universities participated in Graduate Fashion Week, and is sponsored by one of the biggest high street fashion chains—Lipsy. According to the company’s website, judges were looking for a dress that had ‘creativity, craftsmanship and red-carpet impact.’ amongst other qualities.
Antonia is already building up a fierce repertoire – she has interned at noted fashion houses Allison Rodger and Jenny Packham where she has helped create couture dresses for the likes of Oprah Winfrey and even the Duchess of Cambridge—Catherine Middleton. Antonia is hoping to create her own fashion business in the future, and with those names under her fashion belt—those dreams will certainly become a reality.
