The University of East London is proud to have partnered with the British Science Association to bring back the 193rd British Science Festival to London after two decades. It underscores our unwavering dedication to shaping a future where the realms of education, science, and the arts seamlessly converge.
Since our inception in 1898 we’ve been committed to providing practical careers-first education for underrepresented communities and have always celebrated science and innovation in its many forms; from the intersection between science, engineering and the built environment through to science in music, art and fashion.
London has a rich scientific ecosystem and a year’s long celebration of science culminating with the British Science Festival is the perfect opportunity for us to collaborate with many local and international partners to showcase our research and leadership in sustainability, GreenTech, HealthTech, and social justice.
Our research is globally recognized, with 92% considered world-leading or internationally excellent.
The Year of Science presents a fantastic chance for our vibrant community of more than 40,000 students, representing 160 nationalities, to actively participate in various activities. It's an occasion for students and alumni to exhibit their work and highlight their individual accomplishments through their studies and beyond.
