Discover everything there is to know about student life here at the University of East London. Led by your academic tutors, this talk will give you a taster of our careers-first teaching and hands-on facilities.

Programme for Offer Holders Programme

Your taster session

During the taster session, you’ll get an introduction to your subject, the opportunity to take part in a practical, interactive activity and tour your subject facilities. We want to show you the real University of East London and give you a taste of student life. You’ll also meet your subject academics, current UEL students, and fellow course mates starting in 2023.

Preparing for university: A guide for parents and guardians

Discover what questions your young person should be asking and thinking about during today’s event. You’ll also receive information on admissions next steps, the induction process and enrolment.

12.00 – 13.00

Parents lounge with refreshments

While you wait for your young person to finish their taster session, enjoy some free refreshments in the parents’ lounge. You’ll be able to chat to current students about their experience of studying at the University of East London.

Information Zone with Student Support Services

From questions about accommodation, accessing our careers service and the different societies you can join, make sure you visit our Information Zone and chat to all our Student Support Services.

Tours

Explore our vibrant campuses, stunning waterside accommodation and state-of-the-art SportsDock facilities. All tours are run by our Student Ambassadors so ask them anything about student life and studying at the University of East London.

Student Finance and Managing Money Talk

Receive information on government funds for prospective undergraduate students and our attractive scholarships and bursaries portfolio.

14.00 – 14.30

Student Life Talk

Hear from current students about their experience of living, studying, and working in East London. You’ll have the opportunity to ask them your questions in a relaxed environment.

Refreshments

Take a break from exploring the campus and enjoy some complementary refreshments. Food outlets will also be open for you to purchase food and drink.

Travel information

The Stratford campus is a short walk from the Stratford, Stratford International and Maryland rail stations. It’s also served by the Jubilee, Central and Elizabeth Underground lines, the DLR, and a busy bus station. Bus routes calling at Stratford station include: the 25, 69, 86, 104, 108, 158, 238, 241, 257, 262, 276, 308, 425, and the D8. You can also travel between our campuses using our free bus service.

By road, the campus is accessible via the A12, A13 roads, and the A406 London circular.

Parking

Parking is available at our Stratford Campus, on Cedars Road, on a first come first served basis.

Accessibility

We have lifts available in all buildings, and all areas of the event are fully accessible by wheelchair users. Sign language interpreters will be on hand throughout the event if needed.
