PSYCHOLOGY
We have been teaching psychology in East London since 1962 and are proud of our location and the diversity it brings in ideas, community, our students and staff. The School of Psychology at the University of East London is one of the largest in the UK in terms of academics, researchers, and students.
We have wide expertise in multiple fields of research and practice, focusing on ‘real world’ impact, engaging with local communities on issues of global concern like child development, gambling and addiction or mental health treatments. Our academics lead in teaching our students to become excellent thinkers, responsible citizens, accomplished consumers and producers of psychological knowledge in our diverse, modern societies. We’re leading the way in everything we do – from the areas we research to the programmes we design and some of our postgraduate courses were the first of their kind in Europe.
