TEACHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Teaching is more than just a job. It’s a vocation. If you want to help youngsters kickstart their learning or are keen to share your passion for a specific subject at secondary school, it’s a rewarding career.
A postgraduate qualification can help you move forward in your career, whether you’re taking a step up into school or college leadership or making the move into teaching from another industry.
By studying a teaching or education course at the University of East London you’ll gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to inspire young minds, whatever age group you’re working with.

Trainee teachers also go onto to undertake many leadership positions in schools and commence further study through our MA Education and MA Leadership in Education courses.
Research
The Research in Teacher Education group (RITE) offers a forum for debate and discussion on all aspects of teacher education and promotes the work of this group of teaching educators and researchers.
Our practical courses are designed to prepare you for situations you’ll encounter once you enter work, helping you build resilience for jobs that can be as challenging as they are rewarding.
You’ll also learn to critique your own practice and understanding and our Mental Wealth programme is embedded in every postgraduate course, underpinning every module with the soft skills you’ll need to progress successfully in your career.
