FRESHMAN ADMISSIONS

You’re ready to join the Mean Green family, and we’re here to help you start your journey. Our admissions process is designed with you in mind, and our friendly counselors are always available to answer your questions.

Step 1: Submit your UNT application and app fee via applytexas.org or commonapp.org.

Application fee* ($75 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents; $85 for international students) *$90 after March 1 for incoming freshmen

Step 2: Submit your official transcripts and entrance exam scores, if required.

DEADLINES

Most incoming freshmen apply between August and December of their senior year.

Incoming freshmen priority application dates: March 1 to enroll for the fall semester* Dec. 1 to enroll for the spring semester Summer application dates vary by session.

*For priority scholarship award consideration, you must be admitted by March 1.

How will I know if I’m accepted?

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. You’ll be informed of your admission status via mail and through your my.unt.edu account.
