DESIGN BRIEF


PROJ EC T B R I EF Red Rock Resort is a hotel and casino located in South Summerlin Nevada in the Las Vegas Valley. The hotel is owned by Station Casinos and is conidered to be it’s flagship property. with thousands of guests every year, the Red Rock Resort is easily one of Las Vegas's most popular hotels and one of the best resorts.

DESIGN OVERVIEW To create a new brand identity where the aesthetic of the Casino will draw inpiration from the nearby rock formation of which the resort is named after while attemtpting to retain a modern and luxurious mood. This new rebrand will introduce a new sense of atmosphere for our guests and highlight the overall themes for which the hotel was created for. This book will present the new changes made to our brand and will assist with using our assets in design situations.

C O L O R PA L E T T E Our palette is at the core of our identity and will assist recognition of our brand. Three varying shades of red were chosen to represent our brand in order to say consistent with the name sake of the resort along with white to accentuate the text within the logo.

T YPEFAC E For our brand’s typeface, Acumin Variable Concept was selected to maintain a clean apperence and also contributes to the overal luxurious aesthetic of the Resort. The type face is used for bothe the logo’s main title along with the subtext

LOGO DESIGN The primary Red Rock logo is comprised of the mountain range for which the hotel is named after, which includes the sunrise off the horizan and the Red Rock hotel itself within the range, along with the Red Rock Hotel Resort and Casino wordmark. The wordmark iteslef always appears horizontal and is read from right to left. The FInal logo embodies the spirit of the Red Rock Hotel Resort and Casino. WIth a sleek and elegant design, the logo captures the luxurious nature of the resort all the while pays respect to the majestic natural formations that surround the area.

SIGNAGE The Red Rock Hotel Resort & Casino at it’s very esence, is a Casino residing in Las Vegas, and as such, our signage must be bold and dramatic, but at the same time, it must retain the sharp and clean design elements that our brand is known for displaying.

In order to properly communicate with our customers, we came up with an interface design that uses modern graphic elements combined with our brand's professional and simplistic motif. For our user interface, we have both a tablet, and mobile design.
