Introduction
Project Brief Design Overview Page 5
Project Brief Bean There, Drank That is a coffee shop that ethically sources coffee beans from around the world and roasts them in store. The company was founded in 2004, starting out in a small shop in Las Vegas and has grown with their customers’ needs. Bean There, Drank That wants to give their customers their best cup of coffee at home by offering classes. With the growth of the company, Bean There, Drank That wanted to update their branding identity, creating a uniform look to their company.

Design Overview For Bean There, Drank That, the design needed to mimic the company with being minimal and clean. This is shown throughout the stationery, signage, and packaging. The name evokes a playfulness the owners want to show that through the typeface in the logo. The color scheme throughout the whole branding identity are shades of brown, to mimic the colors of coffee, whether it is black coffee or coffee with a splash of milk. This is to help make every coffee drinker comfortable with coming in to get their beans.

Typeface For the main logo, the typeface needed to have a playful feeling that the name of the company provoked. Filson Soft Regular is slightly edited to take away the added flourish to the legs some of the letters and to center the bowls of the lowercase letters. Filson Soft Regular is used only on the logo. For the other type aspects, Lato Regular is used because it is an easy to read sans serif.

Symbol Description
The idea behind the logo was to show the customer what kind of product Bean There, Drank That offers. For the B, in the bowls, it is meant to look like two beans stacked on top of each other. For the D, it is a coffee mug turned on the side so that the handle is sticking up.
