Project Brief Design overview

Project Brief
We aim to give audiences a recognizable design that also serves as a credible source for fashion. Our long-term goal is to be an established brand for those who are looking for practical fashion that is inspired by iconic design all while being affordable. By generating a large following we also aim to alleviate the pressure on local thrift stores in order to combat the gentrification of thrifting.
Our target audience are teens ranging from 16 to adults ranging from 24 We recognize our audiences’ interest in good quality materials and functional design in clothing that gives them unique appearances they resonate with.

Design Overview
Many people have resorted to thrifting to acquire clothes similar in style to what they would imagine to be “retro” or in-line to 80’s fashion. This surge of interest in thrifting has gentrified the prices and availability of clothes to the lower income population who don’t have easy access to high brand clothes. Our company offers a clothing brand that aims to provide a reliable source of 80’s inspired fashion while also adding more modern stylings by shifting the focus from 80’s retro to the early 2000’s synthwave, Offering a medium that is both familiar yet definitive.

Color Palettes
The primary color for AnalogStar would be purple followed by the secondary color green. Each color shares themes from synthwave and due to that genre being a big inspiration for the branding we found it fitting to incorporate it in our design. The purple and green are used to relay the idea of the retro-future that is synonymous with synthwave

13 typefaces The typefaces I wanted to incorporate into this project were Bebas Neue for the display fonts and Oswald for all the body text. This combination of sans serif fonts creates a subtle modern look with a sleek approach to the brand.
