I.S. reigns in Dance Craze Season 6 by Natasha Sun

The Integrated School triumphed in the Recoletos Dance Craze Season 6 as the Pink Team (I.S. N-10) claimed their back-to-back victory, and the Orange Team (I.S. 11-12) following in 2nd place, earlier at the university gymnasium. With the theme

Orange Team’s Mr. Marc Caballes, Filipino teacher of the IS Grades 11 and 12, said that this event has helped develop camaraderie and oneness among teachers and students. He emphasized that it didn’t only enhance their skills spiritually, but also emotionally and mentally.*

Aivan Karl Ambagan of 12-SEM08 and Ravi Jan de Pedro of 12SEM01 clinched the championship with 55 points in this year’s Brain Challenge Competition held at the University Auditorium, earlier. Ambagan and de Pedro bested eight other teams from the college departments and

the Integrated School (Grades 7-10). “It was a very exhilarating experience because amidst the difficult challenges, I was able to grasp new learnings and values,” Ambagan said. The College of Business and Accountancy placed second and the College of Education posted third place.*

The bottle of bliss and excitement is ready to open out into the world and escape. The rev of wheels and engines elicit uproarious enthusiasm from crowd. These rides will make you feel that you’re in a tower with an astonishing view. Everyone is roaming around, with a pocket full of one-peso coins, ready to play at all costs a for a prize. Nothing beats the OG games that stroll into campus every September. This is one of the most anticipated highlights of University Week - a season students talks about for a long time. The carnival is definitely in the bucket list of every UNORian during U-Week. Students cannot wait to bond and experience the carnival with their friends and classmates. The carnival is an experience - the blocks of colors that either make you gain or lose, the guns that shoot pellets with every pull of the trigger, and the basketball shoot-out that everyone wants to win. All you can do is line up and feel the vibe of engines that will make you fly to the edge of your seats or enjoy the games that will make you feel like you are the richest man in the campus or the poorest student in a sea of food and prizes. Robert Pahilona, 12- sm01 How do you plan to spend your U-Week?

“Kung kaya mo i-visit ang tanan nga booths, pwede gid i-enjoy mo ang U-Week with your friends and spend more time sa gusto mo kadtuan. Last year ko na ni sa UNO-R so i-enjoy ko gid dapat and U Week through visiting mga booths, masakay ko sa mga rides, maintra ko mga events like LitMus and support sa akon mga grupo.”
