CST-R showcased their talents through an interpretation of San Carlos’ cultural origin which revolves around the story of Pintado and the princess of flowers. The act composed of an array of colors and historical accuracy.
Recollect delegates uphold truth and mercy
Students’ Congress of Recolect Schools (SCORES) 31st Season strengthened 87 delegates as the Recollect youth and communicators of truth and mercy, January 23 - 27, hosted by the University of Negros Occidental - Recolectos after 5 years of interval. Basak, University of San Jose - Recoleto Balamban, San Pedro Academy Valencia, San Pedro AcademyRecoletos Caidiocan, Colegio de Sto. Tomas - Recoletos, Colegio San Nicholas de Tolentino-Recoletos participated in this year’s congress. Talks and activities focused on the theme “Recollect Youth: Communicators of Truth and Mercy.” “It was fun. We are able to share ideas and perspectives to each
other,” Kristal Chynn Airelle Camanal of CST-R, stated. Each school had the chance to showcase their own talents as a Rekoleto in the Praise and Worship Concert and Cultural Night. “The show did not only feature the talents and skills of our students but also their beautiful culture, language, and models of communication,” Mrs. Leila Magalona, UNO-R Junior High School Principal, said.
The event involved delegates in an outreach program where they painted in a bag canvas handcrafted by the residents in the Brgy. Handuman, the adoptive community if UNO-R. SCORES Season 31 ended with testimonies from each school and the turning over of the SCORES banner to the next host school, San Sebastian – Recoletos de Manila. /*Lamboso
