Unearthing Truths in Five Days by Joshua John Noble
An array of realizations took five days to fill the void. Introducing, the songs that were not sung until the 31st Season of The Students’ Congress of Recollect Schools.
Army of Angels
“If hate is poison, then love’s the cure.”
In the attempts to seal away the realities of school work, SCORES 31 opened its gates to eightyseven delegates from nine Recollect schools in the Pearl of the Orient. UNO-R proudly waved each of the school’s banners coupled with their respective roll calls as they envision a successful interaction between these youth as communicators of truth and mercy. It’s as if the stars were aligned on that day that the drum beats varied directly to the adrenaline; it kept on rising as the event reached its climax. The truth of being a part of an army of angels is the assurance of truth itself as a medium to be trusted. As the delegates were turned over to their hosts, their trust went with them.
It’s Not Right For You
“If we don’t do something now, then we’ll never know.”
Talking about what’s right or wrong always bouts with the idea of what’s appropriate or not. When the millennials involved were tasked to engage in the expected interaction, it went up from there. As one heart and young Recollect communicators of truth and mercy, they were then dared to let this heart be pierced. The outcome? They fell in love with it. They were amazed of the concept of being hit with the stonecold reality of what their minds say otherwise. The truth of not knowing what comes next tests faith in the absence of physical appearances. As the day concluded with exaltation, their realizations varied directly to it as well.
Man On A Wire
“The higher I get, the more I miss the ground.”
What someone stands for equates to what they stand on. The strength of one’s foundation will always be that building block that he or she will always go back on to check if its fortified enough to withstand different weights. Although most of us agree on the strength in numbers, the cultural factor will find its way back and make it even stronger. The truth of looking back and accepting is more of a reason to be proud rather than embarrassed, for it is not hypocrisy, rather its assurance. As the delegates celebrated Philippine culture in its miniature scale, it doesn’t change the fact that it varies inversely of how they love their own.
Paint The Town Green “Let’s make this place feel like our own.”
Being exposed to a variety of chances to discover and express someone’s inner creativity will never be a mistake, especially if it’s for a greater cause. How triumphant would it feel to have aided someone in need and enjoyed what they were doing in the first place? It’s as if they were their own families. Seasoning the tasteless opened the buffet to a much genuine life as a Recollect. The truth of exposing oneself for a better cause will always ensures someone’s “tatak”, and in this case, delegates extending selfless acts through artistic interpretations proved their Rekoleto emblem that embodies love and compassion for the general population.
Without those songs, would there be a good in goodbye?

7 Timidity and Confidence
The Battle Between by Abbey Gale Cordero and Jane Marie Sarmiento Responsibility teams up with humility, passion and sincerity. Just like an ordinary citizen, a person with high authority also engages in daily downfalls, weekly weaknesses and frequent failures. Like a butterfly that has just undergone metamorphosis, Alexandra Cañete, a 17-year old Senior High School student, is the Student Government President in the University of San Jose-Recolletos, Balamban. Being a transferee student is just one bump along the endless rocky road. She gets to encounter one each day. Despite the individual indifferences and the unending struggles as a newbie, she’s able to get through them all. "If you are a true Recollect youth, telling the truth is a must, and not just the truth, because if you only speak of it, you might hurt someone. When you have mercy,
you can also speak of the truth but not literally hurt someone," is her way of defining this year's theme. They say that experience is the best teacher and it did apply to Alexandra's life story. That's when she told somebody a joke and was later told that the person was pissed off. Like a poisonous apple, her joke was misunderstood and inverted. The pretend magic turned out to be an evil spell. "People should ponder on what they're going to say. It's always thinking before clicking, because in today's generation, not everything you see, read, or hear is true, and some may be fabricated.” A true leader must know his or her own weakest point and let time and perseverance turn it into strength.
How To Venture Into the Spirit World by Janieross Lamboso
A spirit lingers around him. That spirit which collects every broken piece of his shattered soul is following closely, waiting for the door to open. It whispers to him. It wishes to devour him. It is the recollect spirit – the communicator of every truth and mercy to the poor. The Recollect spirit makes the youth communicators of truth and mercy. Its innocence is driving him away. But, he draws back, taunting to be one with the spirit. He retreats having learned the steps of being a communicator of truth and mercy.
