Special prayers for Queen’s anniversary Sunday, February 6, marked the actual 70th Anniversary of The Queen’s accession to the throne. During the 9.30am parish eucharist in Wimborne Minster special prayers were
included. The Vice LordLieutenant of Dorset the Hon Mrs Townshend DL, and the Mayor of Wimborne Minster Kelly Webb read the two lessons during the service.
The service was conducted by the rector the Rev Canon Andrew Rowland who also preached a sermon, and the Rev Nick Wells. Following the service, coffee was served and the
Vice Lord-Lieutenant cut a special cake to mark the occasion. During the afternoon the Minster Bell ringers rang a celebratory peal. Tom Scrase
