Landmarks In Lockdown

By Jared Townsend

Landmarks in lockdown The aim of this project is to create a living image series that represents the ways that lockdown has changed landmarks and environments as a landscape photographer. To explore the depths of how our interactions change amongst the different ‘tiers’ across the United Kingdom during the coronavirus pandemic. Circa 09/2020 - 12/2020

Manchester - Tier 3 Piccadilly

Leicester - Tier 3 Leicester Market

Leicester-Tier 3 Masked animal rights protest.

Leceister - Tier 3 Victoria Park

Swindon - Tier 2 The Crossing, Brunel

Weston-Super-Mare Tier - 2 The Grand Pier

Landmarks in lockdown As we reach the conclusion of this image series there is still much food for thought. Consider the peace and calm of the vacant areas juxtaposed to the busy centres. “In the rush to return to normal, use this time to consider which parts of normal are worth rushing back to. - Dave Hollis
