All the world’s a stage Perform with professionals

We work with the best in the business to help our students succeed. You’ll hone your craft and make valuable connections through workshops and guest lectures with industry giants, and perform on a variety of stages and in venues across the globe*. Make the most of our local and global connections alike, from The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham, and Strike a Light Festival, to the Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC and Battersea Arts Centre – you can work alongside professional actors, directors and technicians and gain valuable insight into the industry.

Take your craft beyond the classroom

As well as regularly performing in professional theatres, you can also devise site-specific performances in incredible, historical sites across the UK. Our students have performed pop-up plays in the gardens of Cheltenham Literature Festival, staged full-costume Shakespeare productions in Gothic cathedrals and Hailes Abbey, and produced Suffragette-inspired pieces in 18th Century mansions. Our lecturers will also help you produce your own work for a tour at Edinburgh Fringe Festival where you’ll gain exposure and make professional connections. To find out more about our placement opportunities and trips visit our course pages www.glos.ac.uk

New York, New York! We offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with Broadway actors and directors in New York City as part of an international study trip*. You’ll learn new skills and techniques in workshops where you’ll rehearse a big, musical show tune with lead actors and musical directors and hear from professionals about what it takes to ‘make it’ in the industry. This trip inspires our students to go beyond all expectations and really push themselves.
