What is an applicant day? Applicant days are exclusive to applicants who have received an offer from us – so congratulations on your offer! They are a great opportunity to see what a degree at the University of Gloucestershire has to offer and a chance for you to experience your course in greater depth.

On the day, you’ll be able to: - tour our stunning campus and brand new accommodation - gain hands-on experience with our amazing facilities - get a real feel for your course in interactive sessions - meet our inspiring lecturers - make friends and meet your future classmates. Most importantly, this is an opportunity to find out if we’re the right university for you. You’ll also have the chance to hear more about whether you could be eligible for our merit scholarship, which is £1,200 to support you with the cost of your studies*. Check out www.glos.ac.uk/funding for all the details.

“Going to an applicant day was really beneficial. It was great to use the facilities and meet your lecturers. You also meet people who you might be spending the next three years with; I ended up living with someone I met at the applicant day!” Georgie Baxter, BSc Sport and Exercise Sciences student

“We’ve been working with Athletic Club Bilbao for a number of years. Last year they approached us to look at an increase in injuries in their youth academy players, so we went for a week to do some testing. We’ve also started a project with the England Cricket Board looking at back injuries in youth fast bowlers. For every project we’ll always put forward as many students as we can so they get a practical taste of the professional world.” Mark De Ste Croix, Professor of Paediatric Sport and Exercise Mark works with bodies such as FIFA, UEFA, the English Football Association, Barcelona FC and Athletic Club Bilbao.
