Nationality: South Africa Location: Soweto, Molapo. Joseph is a Poet, author, scriptwriter, singer, music composer, writer, aspiring filmmaker, activist, Educational mentor, Career Consultant, Motivational speaker, and Entrepreneur.

He is an author of two anthology poetry books, written in Southern Sotho and English. An Avbob Poetry Project Winner from 2017-2019, APAPA Awards winner 2019, Human Rights Poetry Project Winner at University of KZN 2021, Joseph has worked with SABC2 Lentswe Poetry Project as Head of writers, and also worked Inside Baobab Tree Kids Program from 2013-2019 still at SABC2. That’s not all about Joseph; he’s worked with Moja-Love on Umokhubuvu comedy, and also worked on Emzini Wezinsizwa, the most popular comedy on SABC 1.

Passion and interests: Arts and Culture, Literature, Reading, Acting, Poetry, Scriptwriting, film Production, Movies, Drama Series, Reality TV Shows, Talk Shows, Directing, Transcriptions, singing.

Goal: To stimulate creativity development through new aesthetic approach by raising consciousness regarding the vital role that arts and culture plays as our society transform towards democratic South Africa through writing of storytelling that involve poetry, drama, and movies. “So having an opportunity for partnership will allow me to grow and be able to share my dream with a community as I believe a dream is not dream until it's shared by a society.”

Studies: BA degree, Education Honors degree, Diploma in Comprehensive creative writing, Certificate on Radio Broadcasting with INTEC College.

Joseph Marcus Mofokeng has been involved in arts and culture from a tender age of 10, and he comes from a family of music background. His elder brother was the late Johannes Tsele Mofokeng, founder of Phulamadibolo, a gospel singer and messenger. Joseph Marcus Mofokeng won Standard Bank Young Business Awards and he then realized his dreams as poet, author, scriptwriter, singer, composer and an entrepreneur he's developed into. I interviewed him and the rest of his group( Mthimbane and Friends in our 25th Issue of Upcoming Mag and when turning the Video interview into text for our magazine I misspelled his Name and Surname and for that I am Sorry.

We featured his biography in this issue so we can correct our mistake and I am grateful that we included two other writer to ensure mistakes like these do not happen again.
