A message from the Headteacher Many thanks for taking the time to find out more about Upton Heath C of E Primary School. Making the decision about which school to send your child to is one that I do not envy you having to make, however I can help by offering you the chance to read our brochure, view our website and of course welcome you to visit our school and see what happens for yourselves. Why choose Upton Heath C of E Primary School for your child? I hope that our brochure will help you start to answer that question. As you look through you will find out about some of the particular aspects of our school that we believe make us unique. This is just the start - come and see for yourselves! I passionately believe that every child should be able to learn through an inspiring and challenging curriculum. Pupils should feel secure, happy and enjoy coming to school. Ability comes in many forms and learners need to be supported to enjoy success no matter where their talents lie. This is what we do. It is achieved by providing exciting learning opportunities, through great teaching from our highly skilled staff. This results in everyone enjoying their learning and fulfilling their potential academically and socially. Being happy enables the best possible learning opportunities for all. Whether you are a child or teacher learning empowers and inspires us all. Education should also help young people to understand how to be happy and how to develop and maintain their own emotional, physical and mental well-being. Education should engage the learner with exciting, relevant content and opportunities for learning through experience and by doing. When your child enters our school we want to ensure that they will achieve their very best academically and we will strive to ensure that we enable this to happen no matter the circumstances. They will become resourceful and resilient individuals. Our school is an inclusive, creative community which builds tolerance, respect and empathy in your children. I believe that it is extremely important that you are clear of what our expectations are for every child. Our vision is that we are here to inspire and care for all in our community, no matter who they are, where they come from and what their previous experiences of school and life have been. We welcome everyone. It is our core professional purpose that we provide outstanding learning experiences within a vibrant and secure environment that embraces Christian principles. In doing so we ensure that our principles underpin all that we do. We are reflective, respectful, collaborative and innovative. As the Head teacher of our school I believe it is part of my role to enable you to make an informed decision about the school you choose for your child. You need to have confidence in everyone who works here to educate, nurture and care for every child. Please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange your visit to our school. We look forward to meeting you in the very near future,
