Dear Friends, I write to you this day to inform and inspire you about Urbane Sophisticate, LLC. As an undergraduate student I have been exposed to the most beautiful and ambitious individuals that are on the face of this planet and yet no one truly knows who they are. I felt obligated to create a stage where all this genius can be revealed to the world. Many have asked about what Urbane Sophisticate is and what it is we are set out to do. I care to take this time to clarify the goal that we, at Urbane Sophisticate, have set out for ourselves. Urbane Sophisticate is an entity of its own, one which will bring innovation, reform and exposure to our collegiate generation. Our mission drives us to spotlight those individuals, organizations, and ideas that represent tomorrow, today. We are a collegiate lifestyle magazine, which will highlight the prestige, luxury, and innovation that our generation enjoys and thrives on. This is a publication written by you, the reader, none of our writers are professional journalists—they are the crème de la crème at what they do at their respective universities. This publication will transmit YOU [the student] and everything that you love, enjoy, and flourish in. Every contribution imperatively correlates to our mission: “Where dreams transition to reality; Urbane Sophisiticate as the medium.” The description of what we are cannot be defined by a single term, but rather think of it as stage where ideas, people, and events can be showcased without the burden of being rejected due to the ‘lack of experience.’ US will focus on eight (8) major topics: 1. Fashion 2. Politics 3. Finance 4. Lifestyle 5. Academia 6. Philanthropy 7. Arts & Culture 8.‘HighClass, NoCash™’ How do we discern ourselves? Simple, we are you. We want to draw attention to the sophistication and elegance that we, the students, employ in our everyday life. This is a lifestyle magazine providing a medium for the collegiate who employs discerning taste in every aspect of life. Urbane Sophisticate isn’t about me, it’s about US.
