"Masterpieces" Contemporary Art Fair offers a prestigious venue for young artists to exhibit their work and an opportunity for the novice to collect quality yet affordable art. The fair will be held at Rosenbach Contemporary, 16 King David St. (entrance from 2 Hess St.), Jerusalem. From the many applicants, we chose artists based upon several criteria. First and foremost is the quality of the work itself. Additionally, we considered the career of the artist, and his/her exhibition history. When considering young artists, we judged their works based upon our estimation of the artist's future career. Presented is a wide variety of artists ranging from the very early stages of their individual careers to established artists in their 70s and 80s. All artists are "Israeli Artists", living and working in Israel today. However, their origins are as varied as the culture of Israel: from South America to North America; Eastern Europe to Western Europe; India to Australia and beyond. In order to simplify the process and flow of the event, all items are divided into four price categories, 250 NIS, 1000 NIS, 2500 NIS and 5500 NIS. Many works are severely discounted to comply with the price categories. We invite you to enjoy this catalog and to visit the event. If you wish to see more works of a particular artist, please feel free to contact the gallery. Lastly, we wish to thank our sponsors: Rosenbach Contemporary for hosting this special event and offering its professional services, The Municipality of Jerusalem, and the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design for their encouragement and assistance Netanel Bollag, curator.
