Extending the Mission of Mount Saint Joseph Academy and College into the 21st Century

Alumnae Association is moving forward Dear Alumnae, As our Mount Saint Joseph Alumnae Association moves forward into her second century, what does the future hold? Where do we go from here? How can we build upon the shoulders of the women who have gone before us? These are some of the ideas discussed: ! Celebrate a special Memorial Mass for living and deceased alumnae, faculty and families ! Extend the Brescia University Contemporary Woman Program by offering noncredit programs in areas outside of Owensboro ! Compile and sell an Alumnae Cookbook containing alumnae stories and biographies in addition to recipes to support alum projects ! Develop a Grandparents Society within the Alumnae Association to sponsor youth programs at Mount Saint Joseph Conference and Retreat Center ! Volunteer to work with and alongside sisters in the mission field in Ursuline Companions in Mission ! Investigate ways for alumnae to volunteer time and talent in areas such as the Dorothy Day Houses of Hospitality ! Contribute to the Msgr. Bernard Powers Retreat Fund to provide financial assistance to those unable to afford retreats and other programs offered by the Conference and Retreat Center Although our school has been closed for over 20 years, we remain a strong and vibrant group with energy and talents abounding. We are a force for good in our worlds, no matter how large or small. And we are determined to make a difference. What do YOU think?
