ALUMNAE ADVENTURES MARIE PAYNE GREENWELL A’26 celebrated her 100th birthday on February 3, 2006, with her family and friends at St. Mary’s Hildebrandt Parish in Griffith, Indiana. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Payne and sister-in-law of Sister Mary Clement Greenwell, OSU, A’26. A talented musician, Marie played the organ and piano at the Mount Saint Joseph Chapel and several churches, including St. Elizabeth Church in Curdsville. She married Lester Greenwell, and together they raised five children. Among her many nieces and nephews was the late Jean Marie Drury, a member of the MSJ class of 1966. Birthday greetings may be sent to 317 Rensselaer Street, Griffith, IN 46319. MARY ROSE SHOEMAKER C’41 Dear Classmates of 1941, It would be wonderful to see all of you. After years of teaching and working in medical records, I am now a resident of Carmel Home with the dear Carmelite Sisters, DCJ, due to bone disease (mostly my legs). I can still attend Mass daily and do rosary devotions with so many good people who give me a push in my wheelchair. I pray and do little things with my hands. I enjoyed reading news of classmates from the Mount. The things I learned at the Mount have helped me in my life journey. God love all of you! MARY DEVOY KELLY A’54 The Citizen Volunteer Award was presented to me at a statewide annual meeting of the North Carolina Community Program Council. I have been truly blessed to be allowed to do the type of work that I dearly love – working with alcoholics and drug addicts. My family was able to be with me when the award was given, which made it extra special. God has blessed me, and I will always be grateful for the firm foundation of love and service that was passed on to me at Mount Saint Joseph (I was also especially honored to receive the Maple Leaf Award in 2004). God bless us all. SALLY MURPHY BUFORD A’64 I would like to hear current news from any of my classmates as so few of you have attended a class reunion. I married Bill Buford June 3, 1969, and have four children, John, Christy, B.J. and Jesse, and two granddaughters, Riley and Carly. I have been employed at Kimberly-Clark since 1996. My hobbies include vegetable and flower gardening. I am an active member of Immaculate Church in Owensboro, serving on the Art/Environment and Stewardship Committees. I especially enjoy Immaculate’s Monday night faith discussion group. My e-mail is bbuford@omuonline.net RITA MOLOHON BECKMAN A’68 My husband Kim and I have five children and nine grandchildren. He is retired. I am happy to be working for the Kentucky Higher Education Student Loan Corporation as an accountant. My email is grannierita@yahoo.com STEPHANIE WARREN A’73 is the recipient of a 2005 Presentation Academy Tower Award for Women Leaders in the Education division. A native of West Louisville, Kentucky, Stephanie is currently senior director of facilities management at Kindred Healthcare in Louisville. She was recognized for her leadership in “spearheading the drive which saved Presentation Academy” in Louisville while she was principal there. After many years of study and encouraged by a supportive family, Stephanie Warren has herself become an inspiration and a role model. In accepting her award, Stephanie gave credit to all of the people in her life who taught, led, guided and supported her. MARY JUDGE MOHR A’77 I am now a mother of four and grandmother of two girls. I attended college and am a director of an afterschool program at St. Rita’s in Dayton, Ohio. I am very active in my church. My husband and I do a puppetry ministry for children. I would love to hear from my classmates. Here’s my address: 324 Pointview Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45405, e-mail mpmohr@att.net, phone 937-277-4913. May God Bless All of You! TRACIE MACALUSO GUTIERREZ A’83 lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with her two sons, Christopher and Joseph. Contact her at coolmom58@hotmail.com.

Oldest Academy Alumna celebrates 101 years Sister Agnes Catherine Williams A’23 marked her 101st year of life with a birthday party January 29. She was born in the same year (1905) as the Alumnae Association and is the oldest living Academy graduate. A beloved teacher, she ministered for 62 years in Calvary, Raywick, Louisville, and Owensboro in Kentucky, and in Affton in St. Louis, Missouri. “Sister Aggie” lives in Saint Joseph Villa at Mount Saint Joseph and stays active through socializing, crafts, and prayer.
